By: AngeloGood: They are worth every penny. I live in Phoenix, AZ and the summer heat is over 110 degrees the asfalt is way to hot. The dog loves them you can tell by the way she jumps arround when I get the boots out of the bag. When we go out to the desert she won't run on the rocks unless she has her boots on. Durring winter we go up to Flagstaff to go snow boarding and hunting. If she does not wear the boots her feet will get all cut up by the ice. I bought other boots in cabelas but they are not good for the summer heat in AZ. I like these boots because of the real heavy duty sole.
Bad: If you put the boots on your dog when her feet are dry and then she goes in to the water they might slip off, but not always it depends on how tight you put them on.
When the boot slips down her side finger wil pop out and sometimes the bot will rub the finger and it will get a rash. So keep an eye on them, check them often, dont just put them on and forget about them. I hope this helps.... Thanks

Bark'n Boots are built to secure around the ankle but below the carpal pad. The boot should have room in the paw area, allowing the paw to spread when bearing weight.
Measuring Paw Width
1. Have your dog stand on a firm surface (wood, linoleum, or concrete).
2. Place a piece of blank paper under a front paw.
3. Lift the dog's other front paw so that its weight is placed firmly on the paw being measured.
4. Mark the paper at the paw's widest point on the left and right edges of the paw (see graphic).
5. Use a ruler to measure the width of the paw (in inches) from the left mark to the right mark.
6. Use the chart to determine the proper size. For example: if the width is measured between 2.25" and 2.5", the dog would wear a small boot; between 2.75" and 3.0", a large.
