Read more about the Marshall Radio Telemetry Field Marshall 1000
You'll not only find performance, but real ease of use with the Field Marshall 1000 Tracking Receiver. The center-of-gravity is focused at the top of the handle so that the unit feels light, pressure free and perfectly balanced. The result is that the Field Marshall 1000 feels much lighter than it actually is. It also stays balanced in the hand without requiring a tight grip as you track a signal. And rotating the receiver 90 degrees to check for signal polarization is effortless.
The Field Marshall 1000 features 1,000 channels, allowing it to track any frequency within its specified band. Inside, the FM1000 offers improved sensitivity, better sound with speakers on the top and bottom, an ultra-compact case design featuring a "Quick-Release" handle, LED front lighting of the control panel for night tracking, improved water resistance for use in wet weather, and the latest generation of Marshall's exclusive collapsible yagi antenna.
Also, exclusive to the Field Marshall 1000 is the addition of their noise floor reduction technology -- reducing background noise while increasing the effective range and tracking ease.

Features:
FREE Holster Included -- Features an over-the-shoulder design, made of cordura.
Pick Up Any Frequency -- The Field Marshall 1000 doesn't rely on crystals to determine the frequencies it can cover. It uses an all-digital circuit, allowing the receiver to pick up any frequency within its assigned band (216, 217, 218, or 219 MHz).
Easy Tuning -- A broad, smooth tuning mechanism makes tuning into the signal a pleasure and much faster than before -- the tune knob is not "touchy." In addition, the tuner is protected from accidental contact, so it's not easily bumped off your tune setting when getting in and out of your vehicle.
Higher Sensitivity -- With the digital receiver board inside the Field Marshall 1000, sensitivity has been improved by 3dB over previous Field Marshall models, making it the best in the market. This increase means you will see a significant increase in reception distance.
Improved Sound -- The actual sound of the receiver has been improved through the elimination of harsh harmonics and distortion, making it easier to track weak signals and far more pleasant to listen to.
Night Illumination -- Three red LEDs illuminate the entire Field Marshall control panel for better visibility at night without affecting your night vision.
Quick Release Handle -- As great as it is to have a handle on long walks or when holding the receiver out the window, there are times when you may need to remove it for greater portability and reduced size. The quick-release handle allows you to choose when to use it and when to put it away in your pocket. It's tight and secure when installed in its bracket mount, and it takes only seconds to remove it with the thumb wheel screw.
Multiple Configurations -- The quick release handle can also be attached directly to the yagi antenna, giving you three possible setups for your Field Marshall 1000: As a one-piece unit with the handle, a palm-held device without the handle, or as a two piece system allowing you to keep the receiver safely in the truck while holding the antenna out of your window when it's raining.
Top and Bottom Speakers -- The Field Marshall 1000 uses three speakers, two on the top and one on the bottom. This gives it increased volume over previous models. More importantly, it has improved the sound's omni-directionality, meaning the volume doesn't change as you rotate the receiver. This can be a problem for other receivers that can lead to erroneous perception of the signal strength in certain directions.
Background Noise Reduction -- A narrow-band filtering system is used to give better noise rejection without reducing your signal, letting you hear the signal more clearly with less distracting background noise (including noise near power lines) -- even for the weakest signals. The FM1000 also has special circuits to minimize the effects of nearby transmitters on other channels which can sometimes cause interference to your reception.
Better Range Estimation -- The three range settings (Far, Medium and Near) on the Field Marshall 1000 have been adjusted so that each of them covers a much greater range than before. You can therefore switch between these in most situations to get a better idea of how far
away your dog really is.
Rugged Materials and Components -- The outer casing of the Field Marshall 1000 is machined from a solid block of aircraft aluminum. Sealed connectors, mylar speakers, and overlapping seams all make this receiver one of the most durable designs currently on the market. Purposely made for heavy use outdoors, the FM 1000 is designed to give you more years of trouble free operation through the widest range of temperatures, travel and weather than any other.
Case Improvements -- In addition to all the performance improvements made to the Field Marshall 1000, Marshall Radio engineers redesigned and shrunk the receiver board by about 20%, allowing everything to fit inside the case much more efficiently, leaving no wasted space. The result is a smaller overall receiver that, with the handle removed, fits even better in your hand. To further hand-held comfort, the FM4000 was designed with a large radius on all corners and flush mounted earphone and power jacks, resulting in a feeling similar to holding an over-sized iPod in your hand. This smaller case is also more stout and rugged than previous Marshall receivers.
Batteries -- The Field Marshall 1000 uses six AAA batteries which are cheap to replace, easy to find, and simple to change.
Smaller, More Durable Collapsible Yagi Antenna -- The Field Marshall 1000 features a field proven, collapsible, three-element directional antenna design for maximum directionality. It's a full gain yagi when deployed, but now it collapses to an even smaller size and features solid rods instead of the hollow tubes used on previous models. The cables and large springs have also been eliminated for a streamlined look. This improved antenna also makes it simple to track up to within inches of a transmitter lost in the grass with the same pin-point directionality you get at a distance. The full-size three element yagi gives the best range and directionality of any antenna, and reduces the "back lobe" which sometimes fools people into tracking 180 degrees in
the wrong direction.
Manufacturer's Warranty:
