The Garmin Omnidirectional Magnetic Roof Mount VHF Antenna is specifically designed for use with Garmin Alpha and Astro GPS dog tracking systems. It not only increases your tracking range, but it also allows you to easily track your dogs from your vehicle. Just remove the standard antenna from your Alpha or Astro handheld and attach the cable. SMA connector.

Antennae works great. Coupler not very good. Wire very fragile. Doesn't stay centered. Broke within 2 weeks. Hope I can find a replacement coupler at hardware store. It is an off size.

The antenna really increases your tracking range for coyote hounds. I love the product and will not go hunting without it. It is worth the money to get the extra range that it provides to kept track of your dog.

I live in southern Oregon, and the ground I hunt is steep and thick with brush. Even with the long range antennas on collars and hand held, I can lose track of my dogs. The roof top antenna allows me to pick up and track my dogs through the brush, and even if they cross a ridge and get into another canyon.

This antenna doubled the tracking range on my unit. Now when I lose signal on the dogs, all I do is plug into the roof mount antenna on the truck, and instantly pick the dogs back up. Well worth the money.
