The Hound Heater II: Same great product as the Hound Heater I, just made smaller for smaller style pet houses.

The Hound Heater has been designed with safety, simplicity and efficiency in mind. A 60-75 watt bulb produces approximately 230 BTU's of dry, reliable heat.

The unit will stay at a constant 130 degrees when the outside temperature is below freezing, keeping your pet warm and comfortable. The best part is, it is so safe and easy to install. It is made out of galvanized metal so it is super strong and will last for many years, unlike your traditional mat heaters. When properly installed in an upper corner of the house, it doesn't take up any laying space for your animal. The lock system is a simple thumb screw, so changing out the bulb is quick and easy.

Installation Instructions:

WALL MOUNT ONLY. Not intended for floor or ceiling mounting. Failure to mount properly could result in damage to the Heater / Dog House.

1. Measure down the wall 7" and over 7" from a top corner of the dog house.
2. Drill a 7/8" to 1" dia. hole at the previous located mark.
3. Run Hound Heater cord through your hole.
4. Mount 4 screws in the base of the Hound Heater.
5. Put in your Heating Element. (bulb, ceramic emitter, etc.)
6. Completed installation.



The dimensions of the Hound Heater II are 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

The Hound Heater I and Hound Heater II will each heat an average size dog house (typically 48" L X 24" T X 24" W -- approx. 16 cubic feet) with a ceramic emitter, infrared bulb or standard light bulb. At 0 degrees F outside, the house will stay around 40 degrees F. The maximum amount of space a single heater can heat is 32 cu. ft -- if the roof height exceeds 3 feet, it will not work well. If you need to warm a larger area, multiple heaters may be installed. We recommend that a Thermo Cube be used to help regulate the temperature and save energy.
