This Hallmark canvas puppy dummy is one of my favorite for getting your young dog started the right way.

I prefer canvas over plastic with a young dog since it has a more natural feel. White is also easy for them to see and that makes the retrieves more fun and easy.

I also use these with my older quail dogs since it is closer in size to the bird that they will be picking up.

We move the waterfowl dogs up to bigger and bigger sizes as they get bigger.
