The K-9 Komfort Deluxe leather collar is available in Mahogany and London Tan. D-end collar is cut from northern U.S. cowhide for thicker, more durable leather. An English Bridle Leather finish makes this collar more pliable and gives it consistent color. English Bridle Leather is a drier tannage for a much nicer, non-oily feel. Hand finished edges. Solid brass hardware. This collar has a roller buckle, D-end and square keeper. Welded hardware. Average 8 lock stitches per inch. All K-9 Komfort products are proudly made in the USA.

NOTE: These collars have two indentations from where the layers of leather are pressed together.

COLLAR SIZING MADE EASY

These are NECK SIZE COLLARS which means the dog's measured neck size IS the collar size.

Measure Your Dog's Neck to ensure a proper fit.

  • Use a measuring tape, cloth tape, or a piece of string (and measure the string).
  • Measure your dog's neck where you want the collar to rest on the neck AND at the appropriate tightness.
  • Once you have a measurement, refer to the Guide below to find the appropriate size.
  • The neck size (NS) represents the measurement from the center of the buckle to the fourth adjustment hole.
  • You can adjust 1-inch longer or 3-inches shorter. Keep in mind that using the shorter adjustment holes will leave more collar strap extending past the buckle.

Collar is nice, thick leather and is made with attention to detail. I can tell it will last a very long time.
The only reason I am holding back a star is because the engraving on the tag is small and is not centered in the space. I only had 2 lines of text and there is a lot of extra space at the bottom of the tag.

Good collar design solved a problem

Our young English Setter had chewed the terminal end of the collar down until she couldn't reach it but it had curled around and interfered with clipping a leash to the D ring when letting her out. The small square keeper insures the collar is flat against itself and out of harms way. This is a substantial collar, well made and likely to last a long time. Quick shipment too.
Pros
  • Sturdy leather and stitching, solid brass hardware that's not going to lose its plating over repeated water immersion and wear from leash and tie out clips. The D ring is large enough to clip a leash on quickly and not wrestle with an excited dog and trying to find a tiny D ring. It looks good and feels solid. I've never regretted spending money on good quality products, and this money was well spent.
Cons
  • My dog has a 14" neck. While the smallest collar fits, it's still just a touch larger than I would prefer.

Beautiful and well made. Only problem is I wish I had ordered the smaller size. I opted to go with the 18-21 inch size because my dog's neck measured at 18". The smaller size would have worked better, so there wouldn't be so much extra strap. I haven't used it yet, but it is a solid collar that can withstand strong breeds.

The quality of the leather is great. I like the specific buckles, and the way the ring stays in place. I did order a little large. The directions given for ordering are correct. I was between sizes and ordered up. Should have stayed with the recommendations.
