Customer Question: Is an Insulated Dog House Warm in Winter AND Cool in the Summer?

I got an email from a customer the other day about Insulated Dog Houses:

I'm interested in buying a Super Den dog house for my dog. I read the info about it staying warm in the winter. What about the summer? Does it become a hot box or is it like being in the shade?

I use both the Dog Den 2 and the Super Den with my labs, pointers, brittanys and my GSP. The Dog Den 2 insulation works both ways. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Most of my dog houses are not in direct sunlight, but 3 of them are. The Dog Den 2 is as cool or slightly cooler than the shade at high noon. The dog house door is also designed so you can open it in the summer and close it in the winter.
