Hunts. Family pet. Competes. The launchers I ordered work great. I use the medium loads, and they work great and launch the dummies plenty far enough for hunt test training and are plenty loud enough to simulate gun fire. The only thing is you do have to keep the rails clean and lubed, so they work with no misfires. They work great and the tone is loud, so the dog knows where look for next mark.

Hunts. Family pet. Competes. Returned it. I love the concept, but 1st time in the field, out of 8 attempts, 7 failed, 1 launch. 2nd time, one of the receivers wouldn't boot up. I was done. Called DT Systems. Their only comment, 'don't return it to us'.Gun Dog Supply was great. Emailed return label and issued full credit.

Hunts. Family pet. I wanted to love this. The concept is great. The portability is superb. Sadly the engineering and quality control need serious work. Out of the box one unit fired successfully once. Period. The second unit misfired 100%. After 3 different brand of blanks and lubricating per the instructions one unit would misfire 50%, the other still 100%. The firing pin always hit the blanks but would not detonate them. Gun Dog Supply customer support was outstanding and shipped me two more units. Each of those misfired better than 50 and 80% of the time in ideal weather conditions. Machining on the aluminum on two of the units was rough to the point of being a laceration risk. The nuts that hold it together should be lock nuts. The height adjustment knob on one unit kept binding. The remote for the release seems to be built like a cheap kids toy. Great in concept but their design engineer/manufacturer should be ashamed. Customer support from DT Systems was of no help. Gun Dog support readily accepted them for return. I replaced them with Zinger Uplanders and couldn't be happier.

Hunts. Family pet. Competes. Save your money. These things are horrible. I understand that these used to be high quality, that is no longer the case. I was glad I bought them from Gundog. Gundog was amazing during this experience. I ordered two, when they arrived I assembled them, grabbed one and tested it in the front yard. That one worked as it should. Next time I was able to train I set up both launchers. The one I tested worked, the other did not. Contacted Gundog and they shipped replacements and arranged for shipping of the old units. When the second set arrived I took them out. One would not fire, and the other fired half the time. You would think for the amount of money paid for this item that DT systems would supply a product that works. They do not. Fit and finish of these launchers is poor. I managed to cut a finger while reloading one. If you really feel compelled to buy one of these, make sure it's from a company like Gundog that has amazing customer service, you are going to be using it. I do not fault Gundog at all, they didn't build these units. During some of the many phone conversations I had with Gundog I suggested that they stop selling these. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE.

NOTE: Red power loads can be used with the Super-Pro Dummy Launcher. However, DT Systems recommends the green or yellow loads for this launcher as the red loads can shorten the life of the launcher dummies.
The DT Feather-Weight Launcher Dummy is wrapped in 1000 denier nylon Cordura fabric. Specially coated, the fabric repels water, resists mold growth, gives longer life and has excellent scent-holding qualities.
NOTE: When training on water, make sure the launch tube in each dummy is dry before re-launching. If water is in the launch tube when the dummy is placed on the launcher, it can enter the firing port, drowning the load and causing a misfire. We recommend having multiple dummies available so the wet ones can dry between launches.
For Your Safety:
Use only .22 caliber crimped blank loads. Not for use with loads with wadded ends.
Each time before firing the launcher, make sure bore is free from obstruction. Clean after firing.
WEAR PROPER HEARING PROTECTION. Repeated exposure to gunfire or dummy launcher firing can damage hearing.
WEAR SHOOTING GLASSES TO PROTECT EYES.
Always keep your dummy launcher pointed in a safe direction.
