SD-1850 Key Definitions - Remote Transmitter

Remote Transmitter: Transmits the radio signal to the Collar Receiver and Remote Beeper. It is waterproof and can be submerged in water.

Intensity Dial: Provides multiple levels of stimulation so you can match the correction to your dog's temperament.

Transmitter Indicator Light: Indicates that a button is pressed and also serves as a low-battery indicator.

Toggle Switch: This switch is pre-set so that the Remote Transmitter can control two Collar Receivers and two Remote Beepers.

Upper Button: Delivers continuous stimulation. You control when and how long stimulation is delivered to your dog through the Collar Receiver's Contact Points. When this button is pressed for longer than 8 seconds, the Collar Receiver will time out. The button has to be released and then pressed again before additional stimulation can be delivered.

Lower Button: Delivers momentary (nick) stimulation (about 5/100 second) no matter how long the button is pressed.

Locate Button: Pressing and releasing this button produces a single beep from the Remote Beeper and disables the Remote Beeper functions.

Run Mode Button: Pressing and holding this button changes the Remote BeeperÕs Run Mode, which is indicated on the back of the Remote Transmitter. Pressing this button also reactivates the Remote Beeper functions after they have been disabled by the Locate Button.

Run Mode Indicators: When the Run Mode Button is held, an indicator light will rotate through the Remote BeeperÕs three Run Mode options (refer to page 14):

1. Silent : No beep when dog is running/Beeps once per second when dog is on point.

2. 5 Second : Beeps every 5 seconds when dog is running/Beeps once per second when dog is on point.

3. 10 Second : Beeps every 10 seconds when dog is running/Beeps once per second when dog is on point.

Tone Mode Button: This recessed button allows you to choose from 9 different Remote Beeper sounds

Charging Jack: For connecting the charger. Although the Remote Transmitter is waterproof without the rubber cover, keep the cover in place when not charging to keep debris out of the opening.
