My favorite leash. Just ordered my second one. They arrive pretty stiff, but after a bit of use they soften up and develop a nice patina. I love that you can shorten the lead, very handy when we encounter other dogs on our walks and I need to have my dog next to my side for an extended period.

Like the collar I purchased this leash is exceptionally well made. I love the color combo of the leather and brass hardware. While it is a great leash and is very well made, it's a little heavy for my little dog. I'm still using because it's so damn good looking.

Leash is very nice, maybe a bit stiff but I think it will soften with time and use. However I am a bit disappointed with the colour. It is much more cherry red than the picture shows. I was trying to match to my dogs coat colour.

True to photograph. This is a substantial and well made lead. Clip works easily and is built to last. Loop is nicely sized. Versatile 6 foot length allows dog some freedom, but is short enough to bring into close proximity as needed.

Leash is a leash is a leash. Bought this simply to match the collar, and I like the ring in the handle, so I can easily clip the ends together while letting him run off leash. Looks and functions great.

OUTSTANDING!!! This is my second one only because I was stupid enough to leave my first one on top of my truck tool box and drive away, thus losing it. These are INDESTRUCTIBLE!! I used it for two dogs under a variety of conditions over several years. The leather takes on a softer feel, but the stitching and hardware never failed. Works great with a roading harness for my pointer. TOP NOTCH!!! Being able to clip it into a loop and sling it across my body in the field is a real plus.

I love Mendota products, so I knew that this leash was going to be great. It's quality leather and stitched well. This is also a great price! Both of my dogs are strong pullers, so nylon leashes are tough on my hands. I use this along with the Herm Sprenger prong collars for great results. I love this leash!

Great leash. Perfect length. Have had a ton of compliments. Held up well until I left my GSP unsupervised for 5 minutes, and I found the lead chewed in half. (just bought my second one).
