One button operation makes it a very simple and effective collar for all of your basic problem solving issues.
The Classic 70 G3 EXP is popular among Retriever owners, birddog folks, houndsmen, beaglers (this is a great collar for stopping the deer chasers), and basic obedience trainers who want a simple to operate and incredibly durable remote training collar system.
With the EXP feature, you can purchase the Classic 70 G3 EXP and add up to 6 dogs at any time by purchasing extra collars!
Shorthair/Brittany Mix. Owns 2 dogs. Family pet. Been training dogs since 68 in Vietnam. Wish I would have had the electronic trainer with my scoutdog Dug. It's a lot easier than a choke chain and leash.

I like the collar very much, and i will keep using it. however, there are two issue i have with this collar. 1. the off and on button is hard to turn on after a few usage. 2. the charger cradle keeps burning out for some reason. So far i have order 6 this hunting season. do any of this stuff have a warranty? if these two issue could be fix i will love the collar.

The Tri-Tronics Classic 70 G3 EXP is a smaller, lighter, and improved version of the Tri-Tronics 70 G2 & XLS series collars. The collar replaces the popular Field 70 and is the modern version of such Tri-Tronics classic collars as the original A1 70 and the Judge. It is a full-size, full-range remote training collar with Tri-Tronics' reliability. At lower levels, its continuous stimulation can be used for teaching yardwork/obedience and at higher levels it can be used to overcome strong distractions and/or to stop chasing. The versatility of this model has been increased significantly with the ability to set the variable intensity level with a dial on the transmitter. This allows you to easily and quickly adjust the intensity (1-6) to the dog's temperament and the training situation.

Collar range up to 1 mile -- maximum range is based on "line of sight." This means that to get the full range out of a system there should be nothing between the transmitter and the receiver and the terrain should be flat and open. This isn't going to happen in most places that we spend time with our dogs. The range on all of the systems that we carry depends on training conditions, including weather, terrain, and the presence of cover.
Tri-Tronics G3 systems feature a "Pulsating Continuous Stimulation" that increases the system's ability to reach maximum distance in heavy cover and difficult terrain situations. Because this is a "broken" signal instead of a single transmission it does a better job of reaching the receiver at maximum distance. The pulses are so rapid that it gives the feeling of the old style continuous stimulation but increases the transmitter's ability to reach maximum distance.
Remember, too much range will never hurt, but too little can be a problem.
