The Tri-Tronics Pro 100 G2 EXP is a smaller, lighter, and improved version of the Tri-Tronics 100 Lite/LS/XLS series collars. It is a versatile training collar and a good choice for all-around use with three levels of continuous stimulation (low, medium, and high) instantly selectable at the transmitter. This means that you can instantly adjust intensity whenever distractions increase.
There's also a separate button for delivering a quick pre-set duration of momentary stimulation for enforcing commands the dog already knows and for correcting behavior. Continuous Stimulation -- The trainer controls the timing and duration of continuous stimulation. The stimulation stays on while the transmitter button is depressed. You can make the stimulation a very quick pulse by pressing and releasing the button, or you can make it a longer correction by pressing and holding the button down. Continuous has a safety "time out" feature that only allows the stimulation to last a maximum of about 9 seconds. If the stimulation times out, restore function by releasing the button and pressing again. In normal use collars do not time out because corrections are far shorter than 9 seconds. Momentary Stimulation -- The duration of momentary stimulation is pre-set to only last a fraction of a second. Momentary stays on only briefly no matter how long the button is pressed. To produce a series of momentary corrections, press the momentary button repeatedly. Six intensity levels can be quickly adjusted with the dial at the top of the transmitter. Use the two red button to select between Low, Medium, and High Continuous stimulation for each intensity level giving you a total of 18 levels. Teach yard work/obedience and enforce known commands with lower levels of stimulation. Use higher levels to stop unwanted chasing or to overcome strong distractions. The Pro 100 G2 EXP is a good choice for training any breed of dog. Audio tone with a separate button comes standard. Note: We use and recommend the Tri-Tronics Pro 100 and the Pro 500 models for yard work (obedience) training and any other training where low levels of continuous stimulation are used to reinforce previously taught commands. The Pro 100 and the Pro 500 models have a low and a medium button for continuous stimulation (as well as a high continuous stimulation button). The continuous stimulation produced by using the low and medium buttons on the Pro 100 and the Pro 500 is lower than the continuous stimulation levels on the Classic 70, Flyway Special, Upland Special, and Pro 200. The medium and low continuous stimulation levels on the Pro 100 and Pro 500 are particularly useful with sensitive dogs/breeds. The Pro 100 has a wide choice of stimulation levels with gradual increases between levels. What I really enjoy about the Pro 100 is that with the Low, Medium and High stimulation choices, you can gradually increase the stimulation level one handed without ever looking at the transmitter. This allows you to precisely increase the stimulation without taking your eyes off the dog and you have a free hand for working a check cord, bird launcher, winger or auto backer transmitter, blank pistol, or shotgun. When you need to raise the level using the dial, the new ISS dial allows you to do this with your thumb, so you can continue to operate it one handed and you never have to look at the dial. Another great feature for me is the new "A" position on the dial. If you want to have a remote beeper added to your Pro 100 G2 all you have to do is purchase the Tri-Tronics G2 Accessory beeper and you now have a remote beeper combo that you control from the transmitter. This is a really handy feature for upland hunters that what to locate their dogs in heavy cover but be able to cut the beeper off when they don't need it. In the past I have used one collar for training and one collar for hunting. Now I can have everything I need in one system. I also use the Tri-Tronics 4 way holster. The allows me to hang the transmitter by my side and it is easy to reach when I need it. It is important to find the right holster for your set up. There are several on the market and it makes a big difference if you can get one that fits your needs. I prefer to have my transmitter out of the way but close enough that I can get to it for quick corrections. I have never found a dog that was so sensitive that it could not be trained using this collar. It is the remote training collar that I use and recommend. Now with the new EXP feature, you can purchase the Pro 100 G2 EXP as a one dog unit and add a 2nd or 3rd dog at any time by purchasing extra collars. Upgrade when you need to control more than one dog at a time! G2 EXP transmitter comes with 3 position color coded toggle switch allow you to add up to 3 dogs to your system at any time. The transmitter is fully waterproofed with a new slim molded 3 1/2 inch antenna. It is now smaller, lighter, more comfortable and significantly shorter than older tri-tronics systems. The transmitter has a slightly smaller tube circumference and is more balanced and ergonomically shaped. Rubberized sure-grip, no-slip area for your hand on the back and sides of the transmitter. New and improved Two-way intensity selector dial thumb/finger wheel that allows true one handed operation even while wearing gloves. The tone / accessory button location is now on the back of the transmitter allowing easy access. Lower profile integrated button guard protects your dog from accidental stimulations or corrections. The Tri-tronics G2 transmitter is virtually indestructible since it is made from Lexan - the same material used to make bulletproof windshields. Substantially shorter and very sleek 3 1/2 inch antenna 3-Way battery charge indicator lights with a new improved light tube that makes it easy to see even in bright sunlight. Waterproof field-changeable transmitter battery pack "A" selection on intensity dial allows transmitter to operate a Tri-Tronics Accessory Beeper remotely G2 charging system for Pro Series Collars is a much improved, high-performance battery charging system. Comes with a compact charging cradle. No exposed charging jacks. No charging jack covers to remove or replace. Maximum range is based on "line of sight." This means that to get the full range out of a system there should be nothing between the transmitter and the receiver and the terrain should be flat and open. This isn't going to happen in most places that we spend time with our dogs. The range on all of the systems that we carry will come down from the maximum based on training conditions, including weather, terrain, and the presence of cover. Range is something that too much will never hurt, but too little can be a problem. The new G2 collars feature a slightly different kind of continuous stimulation that will increase the systems ability to reach maximum distance in heavy cover and difficult terrain situations. The Pulsating Continuous Stimulation on the G2 collars transforms the old style continuous stimulation from a single impulse to a rapid succession of pulses. Because this is a "broken" signal instead of a single transmission it does a better job of reaching the receiver at maximum distance. The pulses are so rapid that it gives the feeling of the old style continuous stimulation but increases the transmitters ability to reach maximum distance. In situations where maximum range is not required and a smaller transmitter profile will be more comfortable for you, take a look at the Tri- Tronics MMA antenna . This tiny inch and a half long antenna gets you an amazing 60% of the regular range with a more convenient transmitter profile any time long range isn't critical. Tri-Tronics Pro 100 G2 and Pro 100 G2 EXPPopular for training both beginning and advanced dogs. Pro 100 G2 operates 1 dog collar. Pro 100 G2 EXPTM operates 1, 2, or 3 dog collars.
With the EXP transmitter you can add a second or third dog to your system when you need to train more than one dog at the same time. | ||
