The Tri-Tronics Sport 80 - C is a new, and improved version of the Tri-tronics Sport Series Collars. It is a more versatile training collar than the Sport 50 or 60 but at a much better price point than the Pro Series line. The Sport 80 C is a good choice for all-around use for both problem solving and training with 12 levels of continuous stimulation instantly selectable at the transmitter. This means that you can instantly adjust intensity whenever distractions increase. The 80C is perfect for trainers who use low level continuous stimulation to begin a dogs collar training. The 12 levels of continuous stimulation allow you to work with a more sensitive dog without over stimulating when you increase levels. There is also a separate button for delivering a quick pre-set duration of momentary stimulation for enforcing commands the dog already knows and for correcting behavior. Six intensity levels (1/2 - 5) can be quickly adjusted with the dial on the side of the transmitter. Continuous stimulation has two red buttons (low and high) giving you 12 levels The momentary button (black) is set on the high level. A new feature on the Sport 80 C is the "Tone on Dial" for added versatility. When you set your dial on the non-stimulation "T" level the transmitter buttons will produce the no-stimulation signal tone instead of stimulation. This can be used as a "safety" feature allowing the collar to be on the dog but will not allow you you to accidentally stimulate him. Our favorite use the tone feature is teaching silent commands.
