A smaller, lighter, and improved version of the Tri-Tronics Upland Special G2 Two Dog series of collars, the Upland Special provides the upland gamebird hunter/trainer a versatile remote training collar and beeper in one unit. Tri-Tronics Upland Special G2 Two Dog System is designed for working two dogs from one transmitter. To select between the dogs, there is a color coded toggle switch that allows you to move back and forth between dogs 1 and 2. Each dog's stimulation is independent from the other dog's and you cannot correct both dogs at the same time. You can move back and forth between the dogs quickly at the times when both dogs need corrections. Click here to read my article on using a multi dog system. You can also control the remote beepers separately with the toggle switch. This allows you to cut one beeper off when you are looking for the other dog and you can shut off or activate each beeper as needed. The stimulation set up on this collar is based on the Tri-Tronics Pro 200 series of collars. It has both continuous stimulation and momentary, but it has a wider spread of momentary. Enforce commands and correct behavior with momentary stimulation (18 levels). Use continuous stimulation (6 levels)when your dog is tempted by strong distractions such as the presence of deer etc. Lower continuous stimulation levels are suitable for yardwork/obedience training. Instantly select from low, medium, or high momentary stimulation and high continuous stimulation by pressing buttons at the transmitter. A wider range of intensity levels are possible by adjusting the dial at the top of the transmitter. The beeper lets you know if your dog is moving or on point and can be turned on and off at the transmitter. I have been using the Upland Special on my bird dogs since 1998. It allows you to control your beeper from the transmitter so you can cut it on and off as you need it. This is a feature that once you start using it, you will have a hard time going away from it. I love my beepers, but I likebeing able to cut them off better. The new G2 collars give you the ability to add a remote beeper to any of the Tri-Tronics G2 Field and Pro collars, so the Upland is not as special as it once was, but it does have its place. If you are looking for a remote beeper combo with more momentary stimulation, go with the Upland. If you want more continuous stimulation, go with a Pro 100 and the G2 Accessory Beeper. If you want the beeper control but don't need as wide a choice of stimulation levels, look at the Classic 70 or the Field 90 and add the G2 Accessory beeper. If you want the widest range of continuous and momentary, you can get the Pro 500 and add the G2 Accessory beeper. G2 charging system for Field Series Collars is a much improved, high-performance battery charging system. Comes with a compact charging cradle. No exposed charging jacks. No charging jack covers to remove or replace.Maximum range is based on ???line of sight.??? This means that to get the full range out of a system there should be nothing between the transmitter and the receiver and the terrain should be flat and open. This isn???t going to happen in most places that we spend time with our dogs. Your range on any system that we carry will come down from the maximum based on training conditions, including weather, terrain, and the presence of cover. Range is something that too much will never hurt, but too little is a problem. Upland G2 -- A Remote Trainer and remotely controlled beeper in one unit. Turn Beeper on and off remotely. 18 levels of momentary stimulation activated with low, medium and high pair of buttons. 6 levels of continuous stimulation activated with separate button. Tone. Beeper has range/point and point-only modes. Beeper produces your choice of several easily heard and improved sounds, including hawk scream, so you can keep track of multiple dogs in the field. One-mile range. One- and two-dog models available.
