Backing Up User Data on the Garmin Astro, Alpha and Fenix 3

To backup your User Data:

1. Download and install the free BaseCamp program from the Garmin website
2. Connect your Alpha or Astro handheld or Fenix 3 watch to your computer using the provided USB cable
3. Power on your device, if needed
4. Open up BaseCamp
5. Wait for your device to be listed on the left side of the program
6. Right-click on the folder (usually called Internal Storage) below your GPS Device
7. Select Copy
8. Right-click on My Collection
9. Select Paste
10. Wait for the data to finish transferring
11. Right-click on the folder below device
12. Select Eject

To restore your User Data to your device:

1. Repeat steps 1-4 above
2. Right-click on My Collection
3. Select Copy
4. Right-click on the folder (usually called Internal Storage) below your GPS Device
5. Select Paste
6. Repeat Steps 9-11 above
