Spalding Labs, the company behind the very successful Fly Predators, has developed this insect repellant spray that principally uses essential oils (geraniol, rosemary, citronella, peppermint, and lemongrass) to repel both flies and mosquitos. Unlike pyrethroid sprays that warn against use on human skin, Bye Bye Insects is safe for use on people, dogs, horses, and more. All the ingredients in Bye Bye Insects meet the EPA's 25(b) Minimum Risk requirements, and the rosemary, peppermint, vanillin, and lemongrass are all food-grade quality.
Safe for use on dogs, horses, people, etc.
Uses essential oils instead of chemicals
Comparable, even superior performance with other top-selling fly repellants
Effective against biting stable flies, house flies, and mosquitoes
Adjust the strength simply by diluting with water
NOTE: may cause slight yellow staining on white and gray fur. If used lightly, the staining is minimal and wears off.
Bye Bye Insects is a concentrate and can be diluted up to 50% with water. Based on your level of nuisance flies, choose a concentration that works best for you. Spalding Labs expects a 50% dilution will work for most people, but Bye Bye Insects can be mixed stronger if necessary.

Gun Dog Supply offered the best price on line for this product with free shipping. Delivered by UPS within 3 days of order . I own a large horse facility in North Georgia and over the years have tried practically every fly repellent and retardant product on the market including home made botanical based mixtures and fly predators . Unfortunately we are surrounded by cattle fields which increase the number of buzzing pests . I was optimistic that perhaps Bye Bye Insects would keep the flies at bay because of good reviews but have been greatly disappointed. I love the fact that this is an all botanical product and may be used on horses , dogs and humans but it must be reapplied every 20 - 30 minutes because it’s potency has worn off . 😥
ProsBotanically based with no pyrethrums
Not harmful to humans or animals
ConsDoesn't last as a fly repellent more than 30 minutes

There is never a shortage of flies on a horse farm. This is the first spray that we have found that not only WORKS, but it works on People, Horses and Dogs!! For the horses, we get a solid day of fly barrier. For the People, it is a pleasing scent that keeps flies and mosquitoes off us while we are in the fields. And our dogs enjoy those benefits too.
Gun Dog sells for the same price as the manufacturer, and you get better shipping deals!
No harsh chemicals
Last for hours
ConsDon't get it on your phone screen protector (oops)
