How to Match the DriveTrack 71 to Your Alpha or Astro

Please read all steps before starting. Left example images show the Astro 430, right images show the Alpha 100. Not compatible with the Astro 220. 1. Update all of your devices to the latest software using Garmin Express. This makes sure you have "Broadcast Mode" on older Alpha 100 or Astro 430 / 320 handhelds. 2. Go to the Main Menu on your Astro or Alpha handheld and select "Setup." 3. Select "Dogs." 4. Select "Broadcast Dog Data," then select "Enable." Broadcast Mode on your handheld should now be active. 5. Place your handheld device within 10 feet of your Garmin DriveTrack 71. The devices connect and synchronize automatically. 6. Select "Dogs" on the DriveTrack 71. The collars synched to your handheld will now appear on the screen. When you select a dog, that dog's location and track log will appear on the map. 7. Select "Go!" to navigate to your dog.
