Using Remote Training Collars in Saltwater

Using any of the Waterproof Remote Training Collars in Saltwater is not a problem, but I do recommend that you wash them off with clean water after saltwater use. Make sure to keep a close eye on the collar strap hardware. A remote collar strap will normally hold up for years (I have never had one fall apart with regular use). In saltwater, the rivets can start to rust and this could cause the strap to come apart earlier than normal. I recommend that you replace the strap as needed. -Steve
