The Gun Dog House Doors PVC Door Trim Kit covers the raw metal edge on a cut door, and provides a flat surface on a panel style door to make mounting your Gun Dog House Door Small Heavy Duty Dog Door or Small Easy Pet Door safe and secure. It fits a door thickness of 1 1/4" to 2".

Approximate Dimensions:

Indoor frame outer edge: 13 3/8"W x 18 1/4"H
Outdoor frame outer edge: 13"W x 17 7/8"H
Frame inner opening: 8 5/8"W x 13 1/2"H

Kit Includes:

  • Inside trim frame
  • Outside trim frame
  • 8 1-5/8" phillips head screws


    • Optional: foam tape weather stripping (not included -- can be purchased locally)

    PVC Wall Trim Kit Installation Instructions:

    1. Before beginning, check that you have all included parts.
    2. Place PVC Wall Trim Kit on the mounting surface at the desired location and draw a cutting template. Double check that the dimensions are 9 5/8" wide and 14 1/2".
    3. Cut out the opening.
    4. Lay a caulk bead around inside and outside surface along the edge of the cut opening (caulk not included).
    5. First press the inside trim piece onto the caulk bead on the inside of the door, then place the outside trim piece on the outside of the door -- sandwiching the door between the trim pieces.
    6. Screw the inside and outside trim kit pieces to the door.
    7. Place the foam tape weather stripping onto the outside trim kit frame along the left, right and bottom edges.
    8. Mount the dog door to the outside trim kit frame with the two screws provided with the door.
