    One of our dogs, a young, titled gung-ho retriever, tends to eat too fast, so we had to find something to pump the brakes on his feed style. This bowl did the trick!

    85 pound lab that eats as if we never feed him:
    Standard food bowl average time to finish 1 cup of dry dog food = 52 seconds
    Slow-feed bowl average time to finish 1 cup of dry dog food = 1 minute and 40 seconds
    It definitely slows him down, and he doesn't sprawl out on the floor in a food coma after eating anymore. The bowl does slide around on the floor some, but let's face, it's got an 85 lb hungry vacuum cleaner behind it.
