  • Lightweight, foldable and fully adjustable
  • Functions as a dog boat ladder or timber stand
  • Water-draining Dura Mesh floor
  • Gunnel clamps and adjustable sidewall positioning system fit a wide range of boats in multiple locations
  • The gunnel clamps can be relocated for use as gear hooks in the timber
  • The two-stage step system makes it easier for your dog to reach the platform in deeper water
  • Supports up to 100 lbs.
  • Weight: 15 lbs.
  • Platform measurements: 15 3/4"W x 16 3/4"L
  • Distance from first to second step: approx. 18 1/2"
  • Adjustable for boat sidewall height 17" - 21"

  • For use on trees:

    1. Unfold stand.
    2. Remove boat gunnel clamps or turn in a direction that does not interfere with tree clearance. These can be removed and or turned by removing the D-ring pins. If flipped and reconnected upside down they can function as gear hooks as well.
    3. Replace pins.
    4. Use the supplied ratchet strap to secure the stand to the tree by connecting the strap's hooks to the welded eye loops located on the uprights of the stand. Attach so the top platform is slightly above the water surface (bottom platform will extend below the surface).
    5. For smaller trees allow the tree grabbing teeth to engage and support the bottom of the stand at the desired angle. For larger trees, the telescoping stops can be adjusted to achieve the desired angle.

    For use on boats:

    1. Unfold stand.
    2. Adjust gunnel clamps to the boat position (adjusting knobs to the back when looking at the stand). This is achieved by removing the D-ring pins and turning the clamps to the appropriate direction.
    3. Replace pins.
    4. Hook the stand to the boat's gunnel. Use the adjusting knobs to secure the stand in place.
    5. Using the spring pins on the stand's uprights, adjust the height of the stand so the top platform sits at or slightly below the water surface (bottom platform should extend below the surface).
    6. Adjust the telescoping stops to fit the contour of the boat's side hull and hold the stand at the desired angle.

Fast shipping. Came with a piece broken that was an integral part of the frame. Sent a pic and two days later a replacement showed up.

I just got it but tried it on my boat and a tree. Appears like it will work well on the boat and it mounts solid to trees. My young retriever took right to it. I am going to let my dog try it out on the boat in a lake later this week
    Pros
    • Solid, appears to be made well
    Cons
    • Kind of pricey but I think it will last a long time

MOmarsh Boat Ramp - Quality, adaptability, functionality - it has them all!
    May 1, 2021
We finally got this ramp on our boat April 26-29 for its first test run. It went better than we expected. Much credit to our little lady (Jett, 9 - Flatcoat Retriever) dog who has never used a life-jacket, boat ramp, or swam from a boat before! This dog is only used to swimming from shore and wading into the water; she is not a jumper and likes to walk her way in to push off. She is a very experienced swimmer and has never needed a life jacket, but we got one for safety purposes to have a good handle to grab her by while using this ramp and being in open water with no easy way to get to a shore.
So, the initial difficulty was getting her to swim from the platform. After a few tries, she started to realize she could slide her legs down the slope of the ramp and almost rest her belly on the platform before pushing off. This way, she did not have to get her head wet or jump in. Getting in was more natural but still takes some training. You have to make sure your dog comes straight onto the ramp. If they come at the side, there is obviously no lower part to get their back feet on. The life jacket was good to have for this because if she came to the ramp from the side, I could push her away and have her turn to come in at the ramp straight-on. She doesn't have particularly long legs, so she has to get her front paws farther onto the main platform before her back legs grab the "steps" on the sloping part.
For an older gal, she did great, and it was amazing to see the difference during her swim sessions over the course of just 4 days. The water is still too chilly in Ohio for us to get in with her, but she may actually have an easier time without the life jacket when we can be out there with her.

    Mounting/Pros:
If you can see from my pictures, the ramp fits perfectly over my transom. There would be plenty of room if it were wider as well. I have the platform adjusted as high as it will go, and it sits right at the surface of the water just as I wanted. I could still drop it another two notches and put it well under the water if I wanted or had a transom that didn't allow me to put it so close to the surface. It is very adjustable, as the product description mentions. The metal is all quality, and the plastic feet are on ball mounts, so they adjust to the contour of my hull as it hangs over the side. It's very well made. You are definitely getting what you pay for. In my pictures, I put a small rubber and felt welcome mat over my transom where the ladder hangs on. This helped keep the ladder from sliding and protect my engine and depth-finder wire bundles that run right under where it is mounted. Also, when the dog gets all the way up in the boat, it keeps all that water from soaking into my carpet. It folds up nicely, and I can just leave it right on my back platform when not in use. If you had a bigger boat with a hold or a cutty, you could easily store it there. It drains very quickly and dries in the sun in about 15 min.

    Cons:
The only con I can think of is that the arms on the sides of the main platform stick out a little past the edge when you fold the rest of the ramp down. When it is just under the surface, the dog runs into them, and when she slides off, they are right in her way. It's a matter of training her too - the dog must go off straight out and come on straight in; otherwise, the ends of the bars on the sides of the main platform are in the way. The lifejacket belly pad is a great protector from the end of these bars. This also prevents her from just sliding around the edge and getting to the ramp straight on. You have to push her back and let her turn to come in for a straight landing. There are nice plastic caps on them that prevent sharp edges, but a nice rubber bumper to those bar points may be a good upgrade in the future.

I would highly recommend this ramp to anyone looking for a dog boat ramp. I looked far and wide for ramps when I was making my purchase, which gives me the most versatility, depth, and ease of mounting. It goes down deep in the water and seems like it would fit a variety of boats. I'm thrilled I found this ramp, and so is Jett!

    Good design cheap parts.
    October 4, 2023
Over all the design is a good one but for it is way over priced for what it is made from. Cheap 1/4 inch mounting bolts which bend the first time you tighten it down on the boat.. It mights cost $4 dollars in parts to build and what ever they pay in labor in China..

    Almost perfect stand.
    March 8, 2023
To improve this stand, a little larger platform for the dog to sit on when its strapped to a tree would be great.
As far as customer service goes, this company replaced my stand immediately upon hearing that one of the knobs had broken on the adjustment foot.
    Pros
    • Good quality materials
    Cons
    • Top platform is a little small for a tree stand, fine for the boat but when my dog jumps up onto it from the ground, he has a hard time not falling over the other side because its so small of a platform.

Anatomically doesn't work for any water dog.
    January 11, 2023
I'm not a big review kind person but feel compelled.

    1. The 18.5 inches between the first and second step is dumb. The platform is mounted just below the water putting the first step at least 21 inches below the water surface. Chessie and Lab Retriever is 21-24 inches tall from back to foot meaning the dog can't step on it, the dog is longer than the width of step to get hind legs on it either unless vertical (straight up and down). Unless you hunt with a great dane the dogs feet will never find it making it useless and needs to be shorter distance between first and second step. Secondly the strait up and down section between the first and second step is useless and needs to be at an angle for a dog to use it as a ramp. Only way this works is if your in less than 2ft of water and bottom step is sitting on the bottom putting it at angle.

    2. The spring adjustment pins have fallen off while the dogs paws are flailing trying to get on the platform.

Truth is Momarsh could easily fix this design, by cutting tubing at deck hinge at an angle, the lower section would sit at an angle making an actual ramp and geometry would reduce the distance between first and second step and would still fold up the same.
    Pros
    • None.
    Cons
    • 1, Doesn't work with Boykin, American Water Spaniel, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever or normal size Chessie or Lab.

    July 15, 2022
We bought this for a little chihuahuas (4) so they could get up from the water onto our pontoon boat. We had to do a little adjusting but it works great! Now I don't have to worry about them falling back into the water when they are all trying to get into the boat at once on the narrow ladder. With a little practice they all have it now and are able to get out of the water safely even with their life jackets on.and without hurting themselves like when they had to use the ladder.
    Pros
    • Safe, easy to install, easy for the dogs to use even small dogs.

    Nice but too big.
    November 23, 2021
The blind was too big for my boat which is a 16' boat. A smaller version of this dog ramp would be better. I have returned the item. It is well built, but just too big.
    Pros
    • Well built and easy to set up.
    Cons
    • To big for my 16? boat. A smaller version would work better.

Great ladder/ramp for our Golden retriever!
    September 23, 2021
We purchased this ramp to be used on our pontoon. First time out the dog got right on and up without any training. Extremely sturdy and folds down well for easy tucking away. I had to make a brace so it could attach to the pontoon but that may be just my style of boat. The arms had nothing to grab onto, would not be a problem on a regular boat, only some pontoons.
    Pros
    • Sturdy, easy to set up, very easy for dog to use and feel comfortable on.
    Cons
    • Might not attach to pontoon without making a brace.

This dog boat ramp is the answer. Don't waste $$ on
Any other. Very sturdy & nice quality. Dogs feel secure footing on it
Only took one quick training on land with
A couple of biscuits. Our Labs were jumping off boat swimming
& running right up the ramp into boat!!
Worth every penny to have them safely get back in boat & not having to drag
    Them in.

    Momarsh Boat Ramp
    April 29, 2021
Overall a great idea. Was expecting better metal construction. The square tubing is thin walled. Wish the ramp was a little wider.
I have only used it twice off the side of my boat since purchasing and noticed some rust streaks coming from inside the square tubing, also the nut serts are only tac welded in place.
I think the manufacturer should use better metal materials (heavier walled square tube), but made in china so i guess this metal is all that's available.
    Pros
    • Works
    Cons
    • Metal is questionable.

Very well made. Very sturdy. Our only complaint is the clamp that opens up to go over the gunnel does not open wide enough. We hav a 17' Excel duck boat and eve with the clamp opened as wide as it will go it will not fit over the side. We had to modify it to make it work.

Ladder seems to work well. Does go well below the water surface on a standard jon boat. Dog figured it out quick. When properly adjusted to fit boat is quite sturdy. Is easy to fold up. Was kind of a hassle to set up but once I use it more it will probably get easier
    Pros
    • Durable. Compact able for travel
    Cons
    • Takes some effort to set up until used to it (hopefully)

    October 18, 2018
I like how it folds, I made a bracket to lock it into the track of the boat, getting in and out of boat is fine, but the platform is a little small for a large lab when attached to a tree in the flooded timber.

Review for MOmarsh Tree and Boat Ramp Stand
    December 20, 2017
My pointing dog had a heck of time re-entering the duck boat in deep water. I have tried a couple other ladders in the past but they were awkward and not very dog-friendly. I took a chance on this Step/Ladder from MOmarsh and could not be happier. It fit my Tracker 1654 perfectly and after just a few minutes of land-based training, my dog re-enters the boat easily and is getting better every trip. Quality is not always easy on the wallet, but in my opinion, this is a great buy.
