In Normal Mode, the Transmitter can be set to control up to four Receivers, and each Receiver can control up to nine devices, using SportDOG cables, for a total of 36 possible devices. In Expanded Mode, the Transmitter can control up to 36 independent Receivers. To add realism to training situations, the Transmitter can signal the Receiver to emit the sound of a duck quack, pheasant cackle, or shotgun report.

    This is the new SportDOG remote release. Remote release units are designed for using bird launchers, wingers, the Thunder launchers that we sell. This is new for SportDOG. It is the electronic part of any of the remote launchers that we use.

    They’ve done some really cool things with it. It will operate a bunch of different units. It’s got sound features. It’s got a couple of things we haven’t heard before. It has a duck call. And then you can change the tone on the transmitter and go to a pheasant cackle. And then they’ve also got a shotgun blast for the retriever folks. Pretty realistic. Not as loud as some things, and it won’t necessarily replace poppers. But it’s a pretty neat feature. We’ve been pleased with that.

    Operates a bunch of different units. You plug in your units from the bottom, so this is a little different. You’ve got up to nine different units that you can plug into here and operate a bunch of different units from it. And then on your transmitter, you keep up with the different units as far as you move up and down to select which launcher you want, and then you have the eight keys on the front which allow you to pick between launch and sound.
