Introducing the all new, ground-breaking SPT 2400 series remote dog trainer by D.T. Systems! The new SPT 2400 series was designed in collaboration with top professional trainers around the world with a focus on rugged reliability, ease of use, and new training features such as our Jump and Rise training aids.
The Jump Stimulation* is a great feature for training methods that involve "jumping" frequently between two different stimulation levels. As before, you can set a level of intensity to the Nick or Continuous Stimulation buttons that is appropriate for training your dog. The Jump Stimulation button allows you to set a second, self-programmed stimulation level higher or lower than your normal intensity level setting. Applying a correction at the right intensity level quickly and timely is paramount in dog training with e-collars. With the Jump Stimulation feature, you won't have to have to fumble around with the stimulation setting at the time that the correction is needed, so the chances of applying a stimulation too late or at the wrong intensity level are virtually eliminated. The Jump Stimulation is also useful in emergency or dangerous situations when your dog is excited and not responding to the normal stimulation level. If you do not have time to increase the intensity level in these situations, the Jump Stimulation is a fast and convenient way to get your dog's attention before the situation gets out of hand.
Another great new feature is Rise Stimulation. The Rise Stimulation button continuously increases the stimulation level until the button is released. This allows you to hold the Rise button until you notice a response from the dog, essentially allowing the dog to choose the appropriate level of stimulation. Prior to the Rise Stimulation, dog trainers had to guess at the correct stimulation level for individual dogs. With Rise Stimulation, the dog responds to a level that matches his temperament.
All SPT 2400 series have completely waterproof and rechargeable (Ni-MH batteries) transmitter and collar units, an easy-to-read LCD screen with a low battery indicator, and a 2400 yard (1.3 mile) range. Also included on all SPT 2400 series are the Jump, Rise, Nick, and Continuous Stimulations, as well as Vibration.

This is the best system for training pointers and retrievers. It has enough settings for stimulation and is easy to use. The range is great.

Review for DT Systems SPT 2422 2-dog
May 3, 2011
First, 5 stars to gundogs. They have the best customer service I have been provided by an online store. When I had questions or an issue with a product, they answered immediately and solved the problem. They were much more helpful than the manufacture.
The DT2422 system was purchased for 2 dogs (5 and 7 yrs) that have strong hunting/chase instincts, which override all the basic training we have accomplished. To keep them safe, and to prevent them from harming wild animals, I decided to go with electronic collars. The DT system is the only one for 2+ dogs that has individual stimulation levels for each dog, and that does not lose a number of key functions when training 2 dogs. I have one very sensitive dog, and one that is fairly stubborn.
It took me 4 months of procrastination and collar intimidation to start using them with the dogs, but I saw baby deer tracks one evening, and knew that I didn't have much choice.
The next day we started training with the collars. I had read all the literature, had big plans of training one dog at a time in my back yard for the first couple of weeks before using them on the trails, and none of that happened.
The following day (after seeing the Bambi tracks), I set the correct stimulation level for each dog, and we started training where we hike (Keep in mind, they already knew all the commands from previous basic training). They got it immediately with a voice command and low stimulation! The learning curve for them was MUCH higher than my own. I made much more mistakes than they did.
The 3rd day, we were just using the vibration rather than the attention getting stimulation, and they responded immediately. I started occasionally giving just a voice command and the response from them was immediate, also. Occasional edible treats were rewarded to increase their desire.
I would HIGHLY recommend this system! I no longer have to yell. I now have peace of mind. And, my dogs are free to be "safe" dogs. It is really an electronic leash to give them room to run and be dogs.
A few words to the buyer...
1. DONT CUT THE COLLARS TO FIT THE DOG. The antenna is in-bedded, but they don't mention not to cut the collars in any of the literature (I don't always grasp the obvious).
2. To turn on the transmitter, it says to press any button. My dog learned the hard way, that any stimulation button does transmit to their collar. I suggest pressing any buttons on either side of the transmitter as they do not electrically stimulate the dog.
3. The collar needs to be snug. If both prongs are not making good contact with the skin, the only levels they will respond to are VERY strong levels (yes, I tried it on myself to see why they weren't responding).
4. The collar batteries last 45-50 hours of "on" time, and the transmitter 7+ days.
While the product from DT is great, the literature about the system is lacking, and their customer service is not great.
Gun Dog Supply will help with your questions or concerns.
Thanks, Allison
