Not recommended for hog hunting. The Sylmar Body Guard Dog Vest gives your dog additional chest and body protection with increased visibility at a distance and in cover. Can also be used post-injury or surgery to protect the chest, belly, or flanks from licking, chewing or scratching. Bandages can be covered and made secure. Also excellent for itchy hot spots or nipple problems. The three straps over the top can be used to assist older dogs to their feet. Construction Materials: Rip-stop 500 denier Cordura nylon with an additional layer of 1000 denier cordura nylon for the chest and body plate. NOTE: XSS and XS sizes are manufactured with smaller straps and buckles. We recommend a break-in period for the Body Guard Vest before extended use. The more use the vest receives the softer it will become, yet it will maintain its toughness and durability because of the ripstop material. Hand washing will also help to soften the material. SIZING Measure your dog's CHEST GIRTH for the proper fit -- the circumference of the body, directly behind your dog's front legs. If your dog's chest size fits in two sizes (24, 27, 31, or 36), we recommend the SMALLER size for a better fit.
