The collar is awesome. I love it. I also bought a green reflective collar, because I am training Frankie to be a therapy dog, and it is good for him to be able to get into a different "uniform" (i.e. harness and different collar) when doing therapy work. Each collar lights up when light hits it. The prices are so good, and the collars are very high quality. I will never buy these products at big-box pet stores again. We have told many friends about Gun Dog Supply.

This collar makes our black lab extremely visible at night in most any kind of light; headlights,street lights, flashlights, porch lights, even moon light! This is a must for dog night safety and helps in the day too. The only minor downside is the reflective strip tears from excessive scratching or heavy vegetation so I buy several and replace them when needed. Besides being a great collar Gun Dog Supply has such great price and their service is second to none! I have been using this collar for over 10 years on all our dogs and highly recommend it.

I love these collars. I have one dog who is an escape artist and this reflective collar assures he'll be seen at night if ever he gets loose. Also you never have to worry about wet and musty collars as these are plastic. And the price is right so when I'm ready for new ones I just buy 3 more. I also like the brass nametag attached to this. One of my favorite items.

The collar is used primarily in the water. It holds up really well and is still durable. The orange reflexive material has faded just slightly and looks a little pink, but that is from extensive sunlight. Overall very happy. Will be buying here again.

I have purchased the reflexite collar from Gun Dog Supply for over twelve years. I made my first purchase because I was dissatisfied with all other reflective collars I had bought. I found Gun Dog Supply through a Google search. The reflexite collar is great deal from Gun Dog Supply because the collar is a double nylon collar with an engraved tag included. The collar lasts for over two years, run through the woods, creeks, ponds, and washing machine. The reflective strip is sewn on and STAYS on. Other collars' reflective strip are glued on and do not last through the first creek. The strip is very reflective, can be seen from a long distance. Steve suggested the information that should be on the engraved tag, and I have used his recommendation all these years. Since I found Gun Dog Supply, I have not purchased collars anywhere else.

I had the nylon collar with the stitched on reflective strip first, but when my GSD was at the vet for minor surgery, she got hold of the collar hanging outside of her crate. Well, it was chewed almost completely through, so that night I went back to Gun Dog Supply for new collars for both dogs, since the other dog's collar was looking tattered also. I decided to try this Reflexite collar in Orange, instead of just replacing with the same ones. I love this new collar! It keeps a very clean look and the reflexite is bright white when hit by a light. Much better than the old ones. I can see having these collars for a very long time and they'll stay looking like new! I guess it was a good thing that Willow took her frustration out on her old collar. I never would have found these great collars. Give them a try and see if you agree that they look great and are the best collar for safety. The free nameplate is also a great safety feature. The other, smaller dog, Gurdon, had hopped out of the truck window one day and the store I was in was able to call me to let me know that he was trotting around the parking lot (really didn't think he was willing to jump from that height). Without the nameplate he wouldn't have been retrieved quickly...I'll never have a collar without it.

When you first get them they are rather hard and infexible but I usu soak them in fabric softener for a bit and they are fine. Swimming makes them more pliable. They fade overtime but at the price I can reorder several for what I would pay elsewhere. Have ordered multiple times. Quality is good they hold up well but just they just fade so I like to get fresh ones.

Bought collar in '09. Collar and name plate still in good shape. The reflexite material only lasted roughly a year or so. However, that's been my experience with each of these collars that I've bought. Overall good product; wish the reflective material stayed on better though.

These collars were good for the price, but the reflective material has mostly peeled off all 3 collars. We are basically getting 3 new collars a year for the dogs, because of the reflective material coming off. However, for the price of them, I don't think that it's too bad because they wear them all year around.
Kinda surprised that the reflective material wore out so fast. Great collar, but just know that the reflective portion will not last!!!!

The collar is certainly durable. I purchased a nylon collar before. After about 6 months the ID plate came off but this one seems more durable as it is all sealed in some sort of plastic coating. My dog does not seem to mind the collar. All in all it seems like a good purchase.

The brillant orange collar on my jet black dog, helps me to see him in the shadows. It's sturdy webbing allows me to comfortably and effectively grab hold of Tucker. My only complaint is that the reflective material is pealing, but then I've used it daily for several years.

The edges of the reflective material on the collar started peeling off after a few months of once or twice weekly wear. The dog only wears the collar when we go hiking so I was surprised it started to degrade so soon. However the brass nameplate, the nylon, and the buckle are very sturdy and still look like new! The collar definitely makes it easier to see my dog in the woods.

These collars always turn from orange to hot pink after a while which looks bad. I've bought several from you over the years for other watch dogs dogs and they all did the same thing. I moved to a low traffic home, so there is less risk Trigger will be hit by a car running into the street at night. I got a replacement brown leather collar for Trigger from you and it is holding up well. I believe the material in the orange reflective collar needs better durability against UV light damage to fix the collar color change. I'd like to switch back to that collar if the manufacturer fixes this color change problem. Safety first for our best friends. Thanks for asking for feedback, Dan Hill

I bought this for my 'ghost' dog who disappears all the time--I wanted him to be more visible.The reflective covering on this collar lasted weeks, maybe months. I don't buy a collar every season, I don't see the need. In short, this collar was a waste of money.
Get a FREE 2.75" x .75" 3 or 4 line machine-stamped brass I.D. plate.
This field-grade, TREATED, double-ply 1" wide nylon collar is the BEST reflective dog collar on the market.
We have not found a reflective collar to date that is nearly as visible or as long-lasting. However, the reflective material
will tear (over time) in heavy briars & brush and we usually change these collars out each season or two for better
visibility.
Orange (burnt orange) with a red-orange reflective strip. 1" x 14", 16", 18", & 20" neck sizes. Hardware consists of heavy gauge welded, nickel plated rings, a nickel plated flat profile K-9 buckle and a "floating" plastic keeper to keep the billet end of the collar tucked in.
