A door at both ends catches more pigeons. The entrance rods swing up to allow entry,
then drop down to prevent escape. Doors are one-piece construction and recessed. Holds 10 to 12 pigeons. (30" x 15" x 8")
This pigeon trap weighs just over 5 pounds. It has a TOP door to access the birds.
For best results, place your pigeon trap on a flat roofed building where there is a lot a pigeon traffic.
Barns are ideal, but keep the trap in an open area so it is visible from where the pigeons roost. You
may also place the trap directly on the ground, but keep it out of the path of dogs, cats and other
predators. Also, the trap may be ineffective if placed in an area where scattered food is readily available.
For the first few days, tie the pigeon bobs open at both ends of the trap and bait it with whole kernel
yellow corn scattering it generously inside the trap. This will get the pigeons used to entering and feeding
from the trap. Now you are ready to lower the bobs and start trapping.
Another way to get pigeons to enter is by placing a live pigeon inside the baited trap with whole yellow
or cracked corn with the pigeon bobs down. Pigeons will be more willing to enter when they see other
pigeons feasting on free food!
