"My dog likes them now too!"

By: Jeff Westall From MN

Hunts.

Not easy to put on the first time. It takes about 5 to 6 tries to get them to stay on in deep snow. But after that, my dog lets me put them on. I did buy the liners or sox, and I think it helps with keeping them on. My dog likes them now too!

"I would recommend them for rough terrain and paw protection!"

By: ELLA WATKINS From OH

I personally love the boots. My dog...hates them. They push her dew claws into her legs, and it caused chafing. Tried several ways to stop this but no luck. Still searching. Boots are well made but not waterproof. I would recommend them for rough terrain and paw protection!

"Fits great on front paws."

Boxer. Family pet.

Fits great on front paws. But she kicks the boots off the back paws quickly. Not sure what the problem can be.

"I love the tread."

By: Jason Erickson From CA

Family pet.

I love the tread. However, I would prefer if the tightening strap, instead of being fixed in place, could slide up or down to allow adjustment of where to place the tension. The entire top could be replaced by a wetsuit material with velcro at the end to allow a snug fit and easy on/off.

"Great construction, but between the two dogs they lose a boot about every 5 minutes."

By: Rick Oliver From NY

Owns 2 dogs. Family pet.

Great construction, but between the two dogs they lose a boot about every 5 minutes. It gets very frustrating (especially for the money). It's a bad clasp design. You really have to clamp it down just so it will stay, but then the plastic buckle interferes with the paw movement. Clasp doesn't stay locked down. Also, boot is too tall. Goes past joint, but ends up being scrunched down. Overall, I'm disappointed (again, for the money).

"The back boots are useless..."

By: Peter Roy From CO

The back boots are useless... Too low to get over his (ankle)? joint, so they don't even have a chance of working. Fronts work ok, but they're much better looking than they are functional. Wanted to return the two back ones (I can deal with the fronts - it gets to 0 degrees and below here lately), but it's not really your fault. They're a poor product. RUFF needs to work on these. Anyway, thanks. I appreciate you guys! Peter and Jarvis
PS... Working dog for me means J is a PTSD certified service/companion dog... If he won't go into the woods, I won't either, and I have to go into the woods. I just carry him out sometimes, because his knees literally freeze up when it's 0 and below here. He's a rescued Parvo survivor. He never complains about a thing. I'm just tryin' to learn from him. Thank you for your interest.

"I put them on my dog as snugly as possible, but usually one comes loose at least once on every walk."

By: Galya Greenberg From CT

Family pet.

I put them on my dog as snugly as possible, but usually one comes loose at least once on every walk. If they would only stay on, they would be rated 5+. I think that the gray press-down part of the buckle comes loose, no matter how snugly I pull the strap and press down the buckle.

These boots didn't seem to be shaped right for our dog. They were constantly slipping out of place. I don't think we'll be able to use them.

While I tried several attempts and variations, the boots would not stay on my dogs feet for more than 5 minutes. I measured the dogs feet several times to ensure the size was correct and it was. Do not purchase this product.

Customer Review #16641

By: Mitchell Smith

Hunts. Family pet.

The overall construction seems fairly durable. Unfortunately, as other have stated, they simply will not stay on. Put them on as tight as I possibly could. Rear ones flew off in 5 seconds!! Maybe if they were taller and went up above the dog's ankle they would stay on. It's too bad. These really looked like the best dog boots available. Very disappointed.
