Retriever training scents may be injected directly into the duck's foam body for added realism.

For water training, Dokkens Mallard (d-100) Dead Fowl Trainer has no equal when it comes to life-like appearance. You may choose the more visible (whiter) ducks: Pin Tail Dead Fowl, Blue Bill Dead Fowl trainer, or Red Head Dokken models for younger, less experienced dogs. or Black Duck Dead Fowl training models for the more experienced dogs.

A Pheasant Dead Fowl Trainer is available for training upland dogs.

Dead Fowl Trainer Internal Scent System -- To internally scent your Dead Fowl Trainer: Inject the training scent into the middle of the foam duck body in six different locations using the Dokken's Dead Fowl Scent Injector or a syringe (not provided). The foam body is designed to hold the training scent whether using the dummy in or out of the water. 1/2 to 3/4 ounce of training scent is sufficient.
