. Owns 2 dogs. Family pet. Beautifully made and terrific quality. Nicer than most coats in my own closet. Proper Fit is key so measure carefully - including chest and top length since the coat has hip darts/tucks to ensure a good fit over the hips and butt. Don't worry about the neck measurement. there is a drawstring to tighten it up. There is a lot of loose fabric in the rear for coverage on the hips and thighs. There are straps to go inside the back legs to secure the coat but my Shorhairs did not tolerate them. So, Not great for a very active dog with a big chest and tiny waist/ butt - like a young GSP or Vizsla. But, its a fantastic coat for a active dog of any age or breed with a more substantial rear end - or a less active older GSP who needs old joints protected and won't be crashing through the woods as much as in their youth. Easy to put on and excellent coverage on the torso. But, the Hurtta VisabilityVest or the Ruff Wear coats are a better fit for active wear on a slim or small waisted GSP or Vizsla
