Innotek ADV-300 OVERVIEW: The ADV 300 is a slightly longer range collar than the FS 25 A at 300 yards (line of sight). With the ADV-300 you have seven stimulation levels to choose from, all available at the transmitter. It's a waterproof collar. With the ADV 300 you have an advantage over the FS 25 A since you can pick more stimulation levels. It does have a larger transmitter, but it is still very small compared to all other brands.

Innotek ADV-300 STIMULATION LEVELS: You have the same seven stimulation level choices that come with the FS 25, but you have all seven to choose from at the transmitter. There's an up and down button which allows you to view from the LCD screen which level you are on. You can go up and down, depending on your need.
You need a "1", you've got a "1". If you need a 7, you can quickly go from "1" to "7" to give your dog a strong correction.
Example: Say you were walking your dog and a cat ran by. If your transmitter was set on a low level you could quickly jump to a higher level if your dog didn't obey your "NO" command. This can come in very handy in a chase or other potentially dangerous situations with cars or other animals. By having all the levels INSTANTLY available at the transmitter, you can gauge your stimulation for the situation.
Innotek ADV-300 STIMULTION TYPES: You have both continuous and momentary stimulation available at the transmitter.
Innotek ADV-300 AUDIO TONE: The ADV300 has an independent audio tone feature. The tone feature allows the dog to hear an extremely quiet beeping sound at the collar. Innotek ADV-300 TRANSMITTER BATTERIES: The ADV300 transmitter uses two 6-Volt user replaceable batteries (included). This is not an extremely common type of battery. You probably won't find it at most convenience stores, but you can get it at most camera and electronic stores. Battery life on the transmitter is going to depend on use. With heavy use, you're going to be need replacement twice a year.
Innotek ADV-300 COLLAR: The collar on the ADV 300 is the same as the FS 25A but it comes with a dura-pro strap. You have a nickel metal hydride (niMh) batteries with an average run time on a single charge in the 70 hour range. Battery life depends on how often you stimulate the dog, but that's what we are seeing on an average charge.
The ADV300 has the same problem with all Innotek rechargeable collars; to make the collar waterproof it has a sealed battery. Average battery life is 3-5 years with proper care, but at the end of that battery's life span the collar cannot be repaired and the batteries cannot be replaced. You will have to throw the collar away and buy a new one. This comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty.
