. Owns 2 dogs. The only reason the product did not get a 5 star rating is the D ring pings continuously on the buckle which can cause the animal the dog is working to become distracted and can cause permanent hearing damage over time to the dog. I just wrapped it in Duct tape but would prefer that manufacturers consider the hearing of the dog when placing any metal on the collar to close to any other metal part. We know from hearing studies in humans that a continuous high pitched noise can cause hearing loss and I have seen it in my own dogs. I haven't had any dogs loose their hearing in their declining years since I stopped putting anything in close proximity to their heads that make a high pitched sound, eg...dangly tags or D's and buckles tapping each other. Using the plastic snap collars is an option in pet dogs but not in working dogs because of breakage from a dog hitting the end of the tie when chained.
The visibility of the collar at night is fabulous and the whole collar is very well made except for the metal parts being too close together.
