    A bit heavy but the material makes up for it

    I watched the video on this site as part of purchasing this Check Cord. I debated this 30-foot round vs. a 30-foot or 50-foot flat and chose this option. My use is not with hunting but walking my dog in open fields within a public park that has leash laws but I want her to have more freedom vs. a short leash.
    Pros
    • I like the fact that stuff growing in the field (like burrs) does not stick - that is a huge plus. Since the "would you recommend" does not work below I will comment here that I would recommend, yes.
    Cons
    • The weight of the cord is my only beef, but its not super heavy. The non-stick aspect carries the benefits overall but I can see why there is no 50-foot version, it would be way too heavy.

    This is perfect for my Lagotto as we shed hunt. Very rare snag due to shape and size. My only complaint is that the brass hook is a size bigger than I’d like adding extra weight to the collar that isn’t needed. I will likely down size it. Easy to clean, doesn’t hold mud and crud and the round slides right through just about all obstacles

    • Was 29ft long including the swivel snap instead of 30ft.
    • Strong odor.
