"Had one for 5 years, and it is still working. No problem with it."

Hunts. This product works very well. I had one for 5 years, and it is still working. No problem with it. While hunting Pheasant in the thick and tall cattail, it helps me locate the dog on point very well. I love it. I referred this product to many of my friends to buy this product, and they too like it so much.

"Works as advertised"
By: Tony From NY
Hunts. Works as advertised. I've adjusted the tone to check to see if I liked it and settled on the lowest frequency. I spent a couple of weeks getting the dog used to the beeper. She paid attention to it the first time she heard it, but basically ignored it every time after that. I only use the grouse point mode, so now it is something she is used to when she points. One thing I have noticed is the beeper does make the occasional double beep when she is on point, but it is no big deal as it makes a quick short beep followed by the normal beep.

The Lovett's VLT Very Low Tone beeper is different than other Lovett's beepers because it operates on AC (alternating current) instead of DC (Direct Current). The use of AC lets you adjust frequency and volume, where a DC beeper is a fixed frequency and volume. You can set the desired frequency (pitch) and volume from 900 hertz to 1400 hertz and everything in between! The Lovett's VLT Beeper also features a magnetic on/off switch with included magnetic programming key. These features were designed especially for the "hard of hearing hunter" and the "tone deaf hunter."
The Lovett's VLT Very Low Tone Beeper is shipped set at maximum volume and at the lowest frequency setting. If you want or need a different sound, remove the battery cover and battery and make adjustments using a small screwdriver. Since the pots are under the battery, you should start by making frequency adjustments a little at a time (about an 1/8 of a turn), then reinstall the battery and go through the modes. You should be able to find the frequency that's right for your ears. After you find the frequency, volume, and mode you need, the unit can be turned off and will remember your settings (as long as the battery has not been removed prior to turning the unit back on).
4 operating modes
Adjustable speaker frequency range of 900 hertz to 1400 hertz
TO TURN ON: Use the end of the supplied magnet and hold it against the ON sticker. It will chirp and cycle through the four modes for as long as you hold it there. One chirp is regular point only, two chirps is dual mode regular, three chirps is grouse point only, and four chirps is dual mode grouse. When you hear the desired number of chirps, move the magnet away.
TO TURN OFF: Hold the magnet against the OFF sticker for a second until a short chirp is heard.
Mode 1: Regular, Point-only -- Beeps every other second after 8 sec. motionless
Mode 2: Regular, Point & Run -- As above when pointing, double-beep every 8 sec. when running.
Mode 3: Grouse, Point-Only -- Beeps every other second after 4 sec. motionless.
Mode 4: Grouse, Point & Run -- As above when pointing, double-beep every 4 sec. when running.
