Owns 4 dogs. Family pet. I actually purchased PetSTEP Folding Ramp for my vet. One of my four dogs weights 100 pounds, and my vet was continually picking him up and onto the table. Didn't want my vet out of action if he hurt his back, so we gifted him the ramp. Works wonderfully! Has grip for vet table and does not skid. Hunts. Family pet. Great product, solid. Walking surface is rubber like so it's not hard which means there is no slipping. Easy to clean. Plastic that covers the spring that keeps it locked in the folded position is cracked (probably from below zero temps) but the spring itself is fine. Would highly recommend this, especially if you have back problems like I do. Should have purchased this a long time ago.

Using the PetSTEP ramp with a four door car
The PetSTEP & HalfSTEP may not work on the back doors of some four door sedans or compact cars. The back doors of some smaller cars do not open wide enough to accommodate the 17" wide ramp. The back doors generally will not open fully like the front door. Before ordering one of our ramps for back door entrance of your car, we suggest you measure the opening to determine if your back door will open wide enough.
Of course you can always use the front door of your car which will open wide enough to accommodate the PetSTEP ramp.
Dog Ramp Training Tips from PetSTEP
1. Place the ramp flat on the ground and allow your dog to investigate it. Walk your dog across the pet ramp. Encourage your dog to sit, stand, lay down, or even eat on the ramp. Once your dog is comfortable on the ramp, move one end of the ramp onto a curb. Practice walking your dog up and down the ramp until he does it easily.
2. Gradually, move the ramp to the height of your vehicle. Encourage your dog with treats or praise as he walks up the ramp and down the ramp. Again, practice and praise! Peanut butter or cheese spread are perfect as they encourage your dog to stay on the ramp while enjoying the rewards.
3. Congratulations! You have successfully trained your dog to go up and down the ramp. Your dog will love all of the places he can go with you now.
