STEVE SAYS: I have used every version of this product since Tri-Tronics came out
with it in 1998. So far, this is my favorite of the bunch. It's louder
and I can hear it better. It also has the remote features of the
Upland Special when you use it with any of the G2 Field and Pro
collars from Tri-Tronics.

The New G2 Tri-Tronics Accessory Beeper for bird hunters who want a convenient, inexpensive way to know where their dogs are and what they are doing, whether they're in heavy cover or rolling terrain. The G2 Accessory Beeper has some
unique advantages over other models on the market.
Our new G2 Compatible Accessory Beeper can be used alone or added as an accessory to our new G2 Field and Pro Series systems. As an accessory it can be turned on/off, and the locate feature are all operated remotely from your transmitter by turning the rotary dial to the "A" position.
The G2 Accessory Beeper is now compatible with the complete line of Tri-Tronics G2 Field and Pro collars.
When you already have a G2 Field or Pro collar, by adding the Accessory Beeper you can now have a remote controled beeper trainer combo using the "A" function on your transmitter dial. This allows you to turn the beeper on and off from your transmitter and you can also use the "locate" feature by holding the button down to make the beeper go off constantly if you are trying to locate your dog.
The G2 beeper will not work remotely with the Sport G2 collars. If you prefer the transmitter size of the Sport collars, look at the Tri-Tronics Sport Upland G3 which includes a remote beeper.
There's no extra box riding underneath the dog's neck. Everything, including the replaceable 9-volt battery, is contained in one small compartment that rests on top of the neck and slides onto the 1-inch wide collar strap that is included. What Tri-Tronics customers like is that the Accessory Beeper will slide onto many of the older Tri-Tronics collar straps. This means that both a Tri-Tronics electronic collar and beeper can be fitted on the dog, only one strap needed - a big plus since space on the neck is such a premium.
If you plan to use the Accessory Beeper with out a remote collar, you will need a counter weigh to keep it on the back of the dogs neck. I recommend the Tri-Tronics Dummy collar as an option.
The Accessory Beeper can also be used with any other brand of electronic collar that doesn't already have a beeper.
There are no wires to break between the beeper and the electronic collar. The Accessory Beeper is an independent unit. It's easy to attach, easy to use and easy to remove when you don't need it.
The features are plenty in such a small, lightweight device. Two modes of operation are available at the flip of a switch. The Point/Range Mode beeps every five seconds when the dog is moving, once every second when he's on point. The Point Mode beeps only when the dog is on point; it's silent when he's running.
The sound is safely directed away from the dog's ears and is distinctly audible up to 400 yards away. The sound is easy to distinguish even when three dogs are running at the same time - one can be set on a single beep mode; the other on double; the third triple.
