Item # 0579b Tri-Tronics Upland G3 BeeperRated 4 stars from 11 customer ratings.
Summary: Much better than my old beeper, because I am hard of hearing and this beeper has a deeper tone so it is much easier to hear. lot's of options on the settings, too, for any situation. being able to turn the beeper off remotely with your electronic training collar control is a big plus, too - you don't have to grab the dog to turn it off and on. Steve did a great job in talking to me on the phone when I bought my equipment to get what I needed for my particular uses. when I need to upgrade/replace my current equipment, no question I 'll go back to Steve |
Steve Says: I have used every version of this product since Tri-Tronics came out with it in 1998. So far, this is my favorite of the bunch. It gives you the remote features of the Upland Special when you add it to any of the Tri-Tronics G3 Field and Pro collars using the "A - on the dial" feature. This allows you to easily turn your remote trainer into a Remote Beeper Trainer combo.
Beeper collars are for use with pointing dogs. The Accessory Beeper is an independent speaker horn that attaches to the remote training collar strap. The Accessory Beeper uses a motion sensor to tell you what your dog is doing. You will be able to tell if your dog is running on standing on point.
The "A" on the dial feature allows you to turn the beeper on and off from the handheld transmitter. You can also remotely operate the locate feature which makes it cycle through a series of beeps to help you locate your dog.

Works great, couple times a year we hunt in tall grass, with the beeper its easy to know where she is even better to know shes on point, wouldnt do with out it, follow instruction- break the dog in using the beeper 50 yard away to start- then work your way in. before you know it its around the dogs neck and working great. go slow at first. 5 2686 tri-tronic accesory beeper Reviewed: September 8, 2011

By: Rob W from WIGriffon. Pet. Hunting dog. Keep some tape with you to cover the horn about halfway. Makes it tolerable to my ears and I can still hear it a long distance off. I run it in point only mode with an Astro. I have found that with just the Astro, that the dog could be 5yards away in a poplar thicket and I still had no idea where the dog was on point - hence the reason for the G3 Beeper. I love the fact that I can control it with my Pro500 e-collar. Rmember to keep a spare battery in your bird/gear bag!5 2721 Beeper and collar Reviewed: September 8, 2011
By: Lee StaskaGerman Shorthair Pointer. Hunting dog. I have used the Tri-tronics electronic beeper as an accessory to the electronic collar for several years. I can't think of any reason that I would change. It works well and is able to handle all kinds of weather and terrain conditions.5 2699 Tri-Tronics Accessory Beeper---- 10-26-2010 Reviewed: September 9, 2011
By: kyle Huber from NJLab. Hunting dog. Like the sound and tone of beeper and the hawk scream option very load and distinctive. Good rang of volume as well.
Dislike that it doesn't have a remote on and of you have to manually press the button.
All around good buy for an accessory beeper to ad to your dog in open field and cover over the bell.4 2727 Tri-Tronics Accessory Beeper---- 07-13-2009 Reviewed: September 8, 2011
By: John Hornstein from NC2 dogs: GSP, hound. Pet. I was hoping for a beeper that I could use for recall, like on the ecollar only better. This is not that. It is big and loud, apparently so the human can hear where the dog is at.
I was expecting something totally different than what this beeper is. This was a total waste of funds for me.3 2678 Tri-Tronics Accessory Beeper---- 10-13-2010 Reviewed: September 8, 2011

Tri-Tronics Upland G3 Accessory Beeper Collar"I have used every version of this product since Tri-Tronics came out with it in 1998. So far, this is my favorite of the bunch." -- STEVE
The waterproof Tri-Tronics Upland G3 Beeper is for bird hunters who want a convenient, inexpensive way to know where their dogs are and what they are doing, whether they're in heavy cover or rolling terrain. The Upland G3 Beeper has some unique advantages over other models on the market.
Remote Operation -- The Tritronics Upland G3 Beeper can be used alone or added as an accessory to the complete line of Tri-Tronics G3 and G2 Field and Pro collars. It can be turned on or off and the locate feature can be activated remotely from your transmitter by turning the rotary dial to the "A" position. The Upland G3 Beeper will not work remotely with Sport series collars. If you prefer the transmitter size of the Sport collars, look at the Tri-Tronics Sport Upland G3 which includes a remote beeper.
Multiple Combinations of Hunt and Point Sounds -- Choose from 4 hunt sounds (including silent) and 2 point sounds (including hawk scream) for a total of 8 possible combinations.
Instant Locate -- Whether running muted or beeping, to locate your dog when hunting, just press and hold the beeper control button on the Sport Upland or Upland Special (or any button on other Field and Pro models when set on "A") and the beeper will make a continuous series of beeps for up to 8 seconds or until the button is released.
No Extra Box Underneath Your Dog's Neck -- Everything, including the replaceable CR123A lithium battery, is contained in one small compartment that rests on top of the neck and slides onto the 1-inch wide collar strap that is included. Plus, the Upland G3 Beeper will slide onto many older Tri-Tronics collar straps as well. This means that both a Tri-Tronics electronic collar and beeper can be fitted on your dog with only one strap needed.
One-button External Setting -- All beeper functions are controlled by one button on the top of the beeper, including power and setting hunt and point modes. Change the beeper mode with the beeper still attached to your dog's collar strap!
No Wires to Break between the Beeper and Electronic Collar -- The Upland G3 Beeper is an independent unit. It's easy to attach, easy to use, and easy to remove when you don't need it.
If you plan to use the Upland G3 Beeper without a remote collar, you will need a counter weight to keep it on the back of your dog's neck. I recommend the Tri-Tronics Dummy collar as an option. The Tri-Tronics Upland G3 Beeper can also be used with any other brand of electronic collar that doesn't already have a beeper.
