This is the Tri-Tronics Trashbreaker. The Trashbreaker is designed for hound and beagle owners. It's very similar to the Classic 70 EXP. The biggest difference is that it is a two mile range system instead of a one mile range system. So for those folks that are looking for some extra distance, dealing with dogs that are extremely far away, the Trashbreaker is one of the longest range systems on the market.
Trashbreaker is a six dog unit. You buy it as a one dog and then you can add additional collars to it as needed. The Trashbreaker is a little different in all of the other units in that instead of having an individual tone button, you use the dog stimulation button for tone and you change the dial to T. So we call it T on the dial; tone on the dial. So when you are in the T position, the stim button controls tone.
The reason for this is that this is a six dog collar and you need to be able to have an individual button for each dog. Trashbreaker is geared toward hound folks.
Same thing with the accessory. You can add the accessory beeper to it if you want to. And then you've got your stim levels, 1-6.
Trashbreaker is also a little different. You have three buttons. It's one button per dog. So this black button controls Dog 1. I've got it in the T position, so that's tone. Then you've got red and blue. Then you have a toggle switch. The toggle switch takes you from Dog 1, 2, 3, kick it down and it gives you dog 4, 5, 6. You'll notice the outer ring on the button corresponds with the color of the collar straps. When you buy a six dog Dogs 1, 2, and 3 are going to be black, red, and blue, and then 4, 5, and 6 are going to be orange, green, and yellow. And your toggle switch controls…that's 1-3, and then 4, 5, and 6. So, same button. That's Dog 1 and then that would be Dog 4.
As a six dog unit you want to be very consistent. I like to put the exact same collar on the exact same dog every time, so that way there's not a whole lot of, "I wonder who's wearing which color today?" You want to be real consistent to make sure that you don't have a different color on a different dog, depending on what's going on.
Tone is real popular with folks that are using Trashbreakers. The majority of them use it to teach a recall. And that's a big part of where the two miles comes in. if you've got a hound that stretches out a long way and you need him coming back to you, If you'll teach a recall with the tone it's a great way to get them to come back.
Trashbreaker is just rock solid. It's just a tough piece of gear and real popular with the hound and beagle market.
