Katrina News & Relief Benefit
Please donate anything you can to the Salvation Army and Red Cross
We would like to thank Tri-tronics and Sport DOG for their assistance.
EMAIL: Howdy! This is Steve Snell with Gun Dog Supply.
I would like to thank everyone who called and e-mailed us this week to make sure we survived the hurricane. We are doing fine.
We appreciate the patience of our customers this week. Fortunately, we have a very talented and dedicated staff. They have worked hard all week to get our operations to run as normal, taking care of our customers.
Starkville is located in the Northeast section of Mississippi about 250 miles from the coast. Katrina came right at us, but by
the time it got here it had dropped down to a tropical storm. Starkville had minor damage compared to down south of us.
We were very lucky and have spent most of the week dealing with
clean up from the storm and working around the minor inconveniences
of no electricity for a few days and the loss of our high speed
We have been sending e-mails all week from a
dial up connection and from the local coffee shop that still has a
high speed hook up.
Hurricane Katrina Relief
Our family understands how these folks feel. We had 6 feet of water in our house in 1979 in the Pearl River Flood, and lost almost everything. The Salvation Army and American Red Cross were wonderful.
Our mom, Anne, has spent most of the week working with her church and the local Red Cross helping folks that are staying in the shelters in Starkville. They are getting care packages together to send to folks south of us.
30% of Online Sales to Katrina Relief
As a small way to help out, we will be donating 10% of all online sales this weekend to the Red Cross Katrina Relief Effort.
Tri-Tronics (Tucson, AZ) and SportDOG (Knoxville, TN) have agreed to match the funds that we raise from the sale this weekend tripling the effect to 30% of online sales.
This donation will be on all sales made online starting today and running through midnight on Monday. This is a great chance to get the training gear that you need for the coming season and help out some folks in desperate need.
If you don't need any gear right now, be sure to donate anything you can to the Salvation Army and Red Cross
We would like to thank Tri-tronics and Sport DOG in their assistance in our
small part of the relief effort.
We have the complete line of SportDOG training collars in stock. Rugged. Versatile. Affordable. With most remote dog training collars you would have to pick two out of three. Sport DOG new collars: SportDOG's SD-400 / SD-400S will change the way you look at a remote training collar for your dog training needs.
We have a really good supply of the Tri-Tronics G2 Sport collars and we have another major shipment of G2 Field and Pro collars that will be here next week. Tri-Tronics has been building these new collars as fast as possible and we have been filling pre-orders as quick as they come in from UPS. Starting next week we should have a solid supply of these new Tritronics G2 systems.

Thanks to all the friends who are calling. We're all fine. Nothing but downed powerlines and trees and still no power at some folks' houses. The people down south of us are suffering, though. If you want to help, donate to the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief. © 2013 GDS
