Over time, the newer versions were incredibly popular, including the Sport 50, Sport 60, Sport 80, Sport Basic and Sport Combo.Garmin based the design of the Sport PRO on the most popular version of the Tri-Tronics Sport collars -- the Sport Basic.
The Sport Basic was incredibly popular with many dog trainers because of it's ease of use and durable design. The choice of stimulation levels made it one of the best collars on the market, especially for folks looking for a high quality, no look, durable system with all of the reliability of the Tri-Tronics name.Garmin's Sport PRO continues this history of simple innovation and design.
The Sport PRO is a good choice for working with any breed of dog.
Ten intensity levels can be quickly adjusted with the dial on the side of the transmitter. Teach yardwork/obedience and enforce known commands with lower levels of stimulation. Use higher levels to stop unwanted chasing or to overcome strong distractions.The Sport PRO is one of the only systems that has Tone and Vibration features that you can use without having to change the dial.
This allows you the option of teaching multiple non-stimulation commands that you can access quickly from the transmitter.The Sport PRO uses the top of the line PRO collar.
This is the same collar that is used on the Garmin PRO 70 and PRO 550.The Sport PRO has the built-in Bark Limiter just like the other Garmin PRO units.
Unlike the PRO units, the Sport has both an Autorise feature and a Direct Set option. I really prefer the Direct Set feature for tough barkers that need higher levels.The Sport PRO is expandable.
Purchase a one dog system and add up to two additional dogs at any point in the future if your needs change. The Sport PRO uses a color coded 3 position toggle switch that allows you to move from dog to dog without having to look at the transmitter. The color positions on the handheld match the collar strap colors so you always know which dog is which.Just like other PRO units, the Sport PRO has Running Lights or Beacon Lights on the collar.
These lights can be turned off and on remotely and are great for seeing your dog in the dark.Another cool addition to the Sport PRO is the Garmin built-in Spine Mount.
This allows you the option of using several of Garmin's accessories with your Sport PRO handheld.A few of our guys on staff have been testing the Sport PRO the last few weeks. Several are planning on switching to it as their main collar.
This is a GREAT collar and all of the new Garmin improvements make it even better.
