Good choice

I bought this whistle to replace the plastic Thunderer whistle I bought a year ago. I found that during hunting the plastic whistle would bounce around and make it difficult to locate when needed. This new metal whistle has enough weight that it hangs Stright down and is easy to locate when I need to use it. In addition, it appears to be louder than the plastic one.

A good whistle

I have tried a couple of other whistles that I was not happy with - flimsy, not very loud, often th ball sticks and the whistle sounds but fails to trill. This whistle is a good medium size, has some weight to it so it feels sturdy, and it reliably produces a loud whistle with a clear trill. That is everything I ask for.

Purchased this whistle after buying a cheap whistle from local retailer. Cheap whistle had poor quality sound and the "pea" seemed to stick a lot. The Acme whistle worked much better.

It's the best whistle made. Period. I have used one with my bird dogs for close to 40 years and it's still going strong. I recently was asked what I'd do without it and realized I didn't know where to get a replacement; or if it was even still made. Then I saw it in your catalogue and thought I'd get a back up.

I thought this would be a larger whistle like the one I have now that is inoperable due to the cork-pea swelled. I have used Acme whistles for over 30 years and find the product good, but the one I bought is a lot higher pitched than what I am used to when hunting in field conditions.
