  • Not a precise replica in size and weight

  • Free swinging hard plastic head and feet plus natural dead bird weight encourage a proper pickup and hold while discouraging the shaking of birds
  • Floats even when punctured
  • Injectable training scents available for added realism
  • Size is approximately 3 1/2" in diameter (10" girth) and 12" long from tip of the bill to tip of the tail.
  • Weighs approximately 8 ounces.

    Dead Fowl Trainer Internal Scent System (available separately):

    To internally scent your Dead Fowl Trainer: Inject the training scent into the middle of the foam duck body in six different locations using the Dokken's Dead Fowl Scent Injector or a syringe (not provided). The foam body is designed to hold the training scent whether using the dummy in or out of the water. 1/2 to 3/4 ounce of training scent is sufficient.

    How to Deodorize Your Dokken Deadfowl Trainer:

    Mix 1 qt. 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, a squirt dish soap, and enough warm water to cover your dummy (up to a 1/2 gallon if needed). Soak dummy overnight and rinse off the next day. Set out in the sun to dry.

    Great design. The body is a firm foam, while the legs and head are wood. Design encourages pup to pick up the dummy by the body. Haven’t had any issues with durability. I would recommend.

    Excellent in helping my dog with centering the bumper in his mouth. I had a problem with him returning bumper by string or carrying it like a cigar. Also helps with hold command. Looks much better.
