Coyote Leather Garmin Alpha 300i/300/200i/200 Transceiver Holster

I like simplicity and tend toward leather products over the latest tech materials. In this case the leather quality is pretty mediocre and the Chicago screws ( male/female fasteners) are pretty low quality. Leather is too thin where these screws are used to provide the resistance needed to keep them from backing themselves out. I needed to shim it to the right thickness and use locktite so I can hunt without worrying about losing the Alpha 200i. It works with some mods but wish quality were a bit better.

This is a great way to carry and manage my Garmin. Nothing hanging around my neck, I am not dropping it. Clips to my belt and I let it hang there and when I want to see where the dog is it's easy to grab the Garmin to see the screen. It is really a great product and well made.

This is a simple tough leather strap to hold the Alpha 200. It works but could be more secure. In my first field use, one of the screw posts fell out, leaving only a single and somewhat loose screw to prevent loss of a $699.00 handheld. I will also add a second snap to the strap to give 4 secure closures before using it again.

The snap on this leather strap is much tighter than the one for my Alpha 100. Tight fit, but once on works great. Very happy with this and a back up strap such as Garmin reel to carry my Alpha 200i in the thick woods chasing grouse and woodcock.
