This is my first E-collar and I bought it on the recommendation of a trusted friend who devotes a significant amount of his waking hours to training dogs. The stimulus ranges from 0-127 and while every dog is different, if my dog isn't distracted then 15 does the trick, but if we are outside I'll go to 25, and in severe situations I have had to use level 65 to get him to pay attention. All that to say that there is plenty of power and range. The system arrived in a really nice box with foam cutaways which i kept for off-season storage. All of the components seem to be very high quality.

Rugged, well built, plenty of range and power.
Cons
This is a very well thought out and designed e-collar. I don't have any cons yet.

After only one day of training, our very stubborn Boxer/Pit mix got the message and now it's like we have a completely different dog. Before this collar, she would never come when we called and would often bolt after other dogs, deer, rabbits and people walking by.
After only a couple corrections with the Dogtra 1900s at setting 25, she now responds quickly to verbal commands. We rarely have to use the electric correction now - a simple vibration reminder is all it takes to have a very well behaved dog. Thank you Dogtra and Gun Dog Supply!

Pros
The device, both collar and hand held are very easy to understand and use. The charging cord works for both. The dog feels the nick at a level of 15 to 20. Thereafter, if needed, increase in increments of 5. Waterproof, Durability, Range, and simplicity of use.

Just got the collar and have used a few times. Our lab is historically pretty stubborn - with this collar, I'm only at about 20% power and boy does the dog react well. Range is as expected. I did replace the black collar with an orange variant, unfortunately could not find a Dogtra brand. SportDOG did fit perfectly. Collar charges quick and I like the fact that both the receiver and handheld have simple, and separate, on/off buttons.

Great quality product. My dog learned in one day. The remote has a long range which I need and the receiver is highly sensitive and responsive. I've tried other products and this one is far superior. Worth every penny.

Great collar, Should be adequate for any purpose. Does not have sound but does have a vibration that gets the dog's attention the same as a beeper. I bought a cheap collar from another supplier and it had an anemic shock that the dog ignored. I tried it on myself at full power and it was pathetic. I am using this collar at setting 40 of 127 (also tried it on myself) and it is plenty potent. It gets the dogs attention and instant obedience. It is well made and should last a long time.
