I have two livestock guardian dogs that I wanted to have with my animals, but I have about 40 acres I needed to secure. Traditional fencing was out of the question expensive, so I tried the Dogtra 3500. It only took my Colorado Mountain dogs a few hours to get used to the boundary and the vibration warnings. My dogs are smart, but the system is working! It was simple to install, though the distance/sensitivity setting knob is very touchy on the controller. The collars must be snug to work through the thick coats of my animals, but I am using the lowest setting on the collars with expected results.I purchased this fence from gundogsupply.com because it was a small family business in the USA, and they were easy to work with and I got my fence fast! Bought this to replace our 3000 gold after 8 years being in daily use. Replaced batteries a few times over the years but the collars finally gave out. This system has much a nicer collar. The LED indicator is placed in a better spot, the 2 hour charge is awesome and the dial switch has been up graded. The wall unit appears to be the same. The purchasing process and shipping was super fast and super easy. Received updates and shipping emails promptly. Gun dog has the lowest price and living in a small town, We always support small family businesses. This was a no brainer purchase. Hopefully it will give me another 8-10 years of use. I will be a return shopper. Labs and little bully.

Great product from Dogtra as usual. The reason I gave it a 4/5 instead of 5 stars is due to the fact that the "buffer zone" doesn't work that well. I have notice that if its set on 15 feet the collar will still only vibrate at about 5 feet from the fence. The fence itself works well though.
