I should have bought the second collar when I bought my first one...the folks at Gun Dog Supply were a huge help in making sure I got the correct second collar to match the controller with my first one. They were awesome and sent me directions to link up the second collar. Great and fast service.

It's extremely easy to use. Switching between dogs is easy.

Several months back I called and spoke with Steve, who steered me in the direction of the Dogtra Just Right for our Parsons Russell pup who had zero impulse control around our cats and no obedience training. I feared e-collars and had been taught that they would do damage. I came from a 'positive reinforcement only' background, but it just wasn't working. The collar came with Robin Macfarlane's training DVD. I was so impressed with that lesson that I returned and purchased the five DVD set and began to study and set up a training plan. This gave me the confidence to move forward with low level stimulation training that not only did not harm my girl, it completely and quickly turned her around and into a responsive, sweet and loving little dog. E-collar based obedience training made all the difference in the world and made communication possible between me and my girl. This more recent purchase was for an add-on collar for my other, older dog. That dog has good basic training, but needs 'reminders' for impulse control around our cats and obedience in the face of distractions. I had been using a different Dogtra system for her, but found that two collars and two remotes was cumbersome and I had decided that the Just Right system was much easier and more intuitive to use. I've only had the second collar for a few days and I'm finding it is so much more simple to toggle between girls with only one hand held device. I worried that switching back and forth would be too difficult, but it's been a breeze. I'm grateful for the support I got in the beginning. It was what I needed to own the process of training and develop the confidence to navigate our training needs in a world where in-person classes have been limited and training styles simply didn't fit our needs.
