Dokken's Dead Fowl - Dove

Great for starting puppies. My 15 week old lab loves it.

The trainer dove has very sharp plastic feet and a hard head, so use caution if using this as a fetch toy where the dog may catch it in midair. We cut off the feet and the head, the retriever loves it.

It does what it is supposed to do just try to keep your pup from chewing on it lol

Boomer was a beginner at dock diving. When I starting tossing this bird bumper, he stopped hesitating and began leaping off the dock. So much fun

The Dokken Dove is the perfect size for my GSP puppy. He has been doing great working on his natural retrieve both on land and a little bit in the water. I should be able to use this for a while before I will need a larger bird.

He retrieves the Dokken perfectly. Does not naw or tongue it either. It works really well.

I purchased two Dead Fowl Trainers for my Grandson for Christmas. He has two hunting dogs and is also putting them into competition.

It looks good. I haven't used it much yet, but will shortly. So far, I'm glad I bought it. Gun Dog Supply gives great service!

Works great with young pups. My 10 week old yellow loves it, and it helps teach him to grab in the middle, which he's doing already. Little tip: don't let them take away and chew on. This is not a toy for him! It's a tool. A few retrieves, then call it good..couple times a day. Thank you

My young dog had gotten used to my scent and hunted specifically for it. I bought the dove decoy, and the dove scent to inject into and rub on it. When I threw it the first time, pup found it, sniffed it a few times, picked it up and brought it back and handed it to me. One week later he loves it and the smell of the scent. Great product.

Dove is great size to teach puppy water retrieves.

These trainers work exactly as Dokken intended, teaching the pup to pick up in the right place and not shake, while being easy enough to grasp and return. We have a terrific time with them every single morning for a few raucous retrieves inside after feeding. In fact, she will not let me skip the sessions! My only objection to them is that the soft foam rubber is a bit too easy for her to sneak a chew, and bite off a piece when I can't see her, so they tend to "disappear". I just hope they don't make her sick? I am convinced they really have helped with her desire to retrieve, as well as our communication.

It is a nice product. The day I received it, I introduced it to our puppy. Trained with it for a short time. I put it up for the day (I thought). Came back in the room, the puppy retrieved it, and chewed the strings off it.

The perfect object for beginning retrievers. I use these for 8 week old pups up until they can handle larger objects with ease. The pups love them.

I think this is good for trainers, cause the dog will think it is fetching a dove.
