Works great. Our dog is a little aggressive towards livestock at times and sometimes people and this collar works great. He is quite small and weighs a little less than 15 lbs, and this collar works great. It gets very small, although you have to wrap the collar around twice before you hook it, which is no problem. Love the vibration of the collar. That's all it takes for him to back down. What I also love about it is I can put it on a big dog as well and works great there too!!!!!

I got this collar to use on the vibration setting for my going deaf dog. It still startles him after a month of reward training, but certainly gets him to look at me for hand signals. Collar works well, and holds a charge nicely. Toggle to switch between dogs is very small. If the intensity of vibration could be variable it would be perfect! I would buy it again. I heard other good things about DT collars...which is why I shopped it.

Collar is too long, but you can't shorten it due to antenna wires in collar.

I have had this t system for about 1yr. I have all three collars and couple extras, just in case I loose one. My dogs respond very well. They are most trained to the vibrate mode, but once in a while I have to give them a little shock. I also like the three color system. I know which dog has what color on. I wish the controller had a belt clip. The size of the receiver is just right. Not to big or to small. Fits just right. Distance is good also. I would recommend to anyone to buy this unit for hunting, or play, or training. Collars can work well for all conditions. Mike. In Michigan

I have the 77DT, and I have had it for 14 years, and I am just now having problems with it. Won't keep a charge very long. Would like to have another one, but I guess they don't make this one anymore cause I can't find it. If someone could tell me what works as good I would like to know. Thank you.

It would be nice if it had changeable contacts for the collars.Contacts provided work great for the shorthair but I need to have the collar extremely tight on the lab because of the thicker fur. The magnetic switch to turn on the collar works fine when hunting around home but you need to be careful how you pack it when going on a trip. First trip I took, I put everything in my backpack only to discover that the controller had turned a collar on while travelling and it needed charged when I got there. Fortunately, I had overnight to charge it. It is still an excellent product for the price.

Pros: Battery life, Compact size, Antenna range, Weatherproof, Levels of stimulation, QualityCons: Length of collar even on medium/large size dogs and you cannot cut it because of the internal antenna. The toggle switch on the remote to change dogs is easily breakable Overall very good unit I would recommend it

Wound up switching collar manufacturers from DT to Dogtra due to constant breakdowns of collars.

The remote was cheaply made and fell apart with normal use. The collar itself took a long time to charge and seemed to deliver an inconsistent shock. We have since purchased a Sport Dog collar and found it to be a much better alternative.

We love this collar. It has dramatically reduced our dog's barking. He was a very obedient dog in all other ways but his nuisance barking would make us crazy. The collar system was not hard to learn how to use and it is very effective as long as you use it consistently. It does not feel inhumane to us. We only have to set it on 2 most of the time. Every once in a while when he gets into a frenzy we turn it up to 3 or 4. We are all much more at peace now, including the dog because he has learned to stop getting so wound up about things that don't matter. We had previously used the citronella spray collar to curb his barking and that eventually became ineffective because it did not consistently spray him and he also learned that if he barked long enough he could empty the spray reservoir. Also it may be of interest that our dog is only 7 pounds and we are still able to use this collar, we just wrap the collar strap around his neck a second time. This collar is well worth the money and I'm very happy that we didn't buy some cheaper brand/model. BTW - Steve's team's customer service is great.
