The product worked great but the antenna itself fragile. My husband broke the antenna off at the base after only a few uses. Really hoping garmin can come up with a stronger system.

Ultra fragile! Tubing has a very thin wall. Telescoping unit snapped off at the base with minimal pressure. I purchased two of these units with the same result. I love the Astro system but these antennas are pure junk!

Bought an extender arial from Gundog supplys about 2 months ago, used it once, then the arial snapped off at the base, the metal used of the extender arial is paper thin and not ideal to take hunting, wasted $60 on that 1

Used this Antenna to track dogs hog hunting in the thickest of bottoms. Tracked up to 1.8 miles. Have had no need to track farther than this but I feel certain it will work.
