What is a "USED" product?

These used Garmin collars and handhelds come from customer trade-ins of previously owned equipment. Each unit is personally inspected by Steve, who verifies that it meets our standards. We clean up the gear, update the firmware, do a full factory reset, and test everything to make sure it's working like it should. All used collars and handhelds from Gun Dog Supply come with a 60-Day Limited Warranty -- if it stops working due to normal use within 60 days, we'll repair it or replace it.

How to Match Collars to Your Trashbreaker System

Please read all steps before starting.

1. Charge the new receiver for two hours and install the desired color collar strap.

2. Set the transmitter dog selection switch and select a training button that matches the color of the strap.

3. Set the transmitter stimulation intensity dial to a number, not a letter.

4. Hold down the collar power button for 5 seconds until the status LED turns yellow. Do not release it.

5. While the yellow LED is lit, press and release the selected training button on the transmitter, then release the collar power button. The collar will beep when the devices have paired successfully.

6. Test the pairing by pressing the selected training button. The collar LED will turn green. If you are not planning to use the unit now, turn the collar off after testing.

NOTE: When adding a receiver for dogs 1 - 3, use the button that matches the strap color and place the dog selection switch in the UP position. When adding a receiver for dogs 4 - 6, use the button inside the colored circle on the yellow faceplate that matches the strap color and place the dog selection switch in the DOWN position. When adding a receiver for dogs 7 - 9, use the button with the colored circle printed on its edge that matches the strap color and place the dog selection switch in the MIDDLE position.

Trash breaker

I have used these for a long time on my cow dogs. Finally wore them out and needed more. Not cheap but work...Garmin also stands behind them and in today's time that is commendable.

I have been using the Tritronic Pro 70 collars for over 10 years and began upgrading to the longer range Garmin Trashbreaker about two years ago (for more distance). I have nothing but good things to say about the product and Gun Dog Supply. The brass collar tags so nice I ordered one for my brothers dog too. He loves it. The folks at Gun Dog are great, very helpful every time I call.

Great training collar

We had to replace our 20+ yr old tri tronics collars for our 2 young GWPs. This collar is for Annie who is very prey driven, for anything bigger than birds, birds are not her thing. The tone disrupts her attention so she'll listen to commands, improving our communication. Honestly have only needed to use the simulation setting a few times, usually with the deer we have around. Husband has been able to pick up and make the transition easily.

Easy pairing, even though I had to purchase main unit elsewhere. Needed units asap.

Great training device for hounds

Great product. Great range, works perfect

Pros

Works great hound hunting. I like the no bark setting for when they are in the kennels. My neighbors really appreciate it! just don't make the mistake of setting it that way when you go to let them out to hunt.

Cons

You have to make sure you don't hold the "on" button on too long. Because it has a no bark setting. Just make sure it tones before you let them out.
