Mendota Visi-Vest Dog Visibility Vest

I have tried a number of orange vests and capes with different dogs over the years. This is my favorite. Easy to put on and does nor get in the way of running.

My 90 pound Lab crashes through brush with this and it has proven very durable. It's easy to adjust. Quick on and off. Vey visible. I've tried some other options and prefer the material and design of this one. He exited an impossible thicket after flushing a pheasant and it was gone. What I noticed on another one is that the attachment of the front strap to the cape can eventually weaken so I hand sewed that junction on an old one and ordered a replacement. This is one of the best purchases I have made for his safety.

I needed a vest that was lightweight and easy to put on and this vest fills the bill.

Provides good visibility for your dog in thick grass and doesn't chaff the dogs armpits.

I bought my first one 8 years ago, & it is now being used on a smaller dog. Just bought a medium for my 64# shorthair. Easy on & off, cool, highly adjustable, no armpit rub spots, no drag in the water, and are highly visible.

The first one I ordered was too small but, that was due to my mistake in measuring. The second one fit perfect. This is a great vest for warm weather because it leaves the entire under side of my dog open to dispel body heat on long hard chases and helps prevent him from getting too overheated while at the same time giving him very good visibility in thick brush. It stays relatively centered on his back, which makes him easily recognizable as a dog and not a wild animal. In an area where there are a lot of deer hunters and poachers, this is extremely important. P.S Here are a couple shots of Eli decked out. He's about 80-85#s, and he's wearing a size large.

Fits well and helps me see my dark haired dog much better in the woods.

Vest works well...some slipping around as my dog runs (GSP..runs like crazy!) Using it over the skid plate, which is awesome and super necessary - for added visibility as skid plate does not offer enough. This Mendota Visi-Vest has a great deal of room for adjustments.

Love that I can attach this to my dog no matter what the weather is, if he's wearing nothing or wearing a heavy parka. It's reflective and durable grade material. I like that it snaps in place because he rubs up against trees and will often take off a jacket that is velcroed on.

Vests haven't been used yet but seem to be made well with material to last more than one season and are adjustable.

Brand new vest used on 3 day pheasant/quail hunt in Kansas. Vest worked well and stayed centered on dog's back.

Our family dog enjoys her walks in the woods, so it was important to me for her to be visible. This vest is perfect and better than expected. The vest secures in multiple places to keep it in place. It is lightweight, highly visible and reflective. I am very pleased with the quality.

Can't keep it on straight, falls to one side or the other.

Have used it 3 days now on a hard running setter in some very thick, very thorny Pennsylvania grouse cover. It is very durable and does not come off. The only thing I would change would be to have it show at little more orange on the sides of the dog.

My German Shepherd and Lab wear these vests out in my woods during hunting season. From afar I can see them, and they stay in place. The dogs don't seem to mind and wait while I put them on every morning. They are durable, bright and I highly recommend them.

A well made product, easy to put on and remove. Great price and quick shipping by Gun Dog Supply, as always. The only negative I have is that the order form asks for a size. The physical size of the vest does not change with size, rather only the straps. It looks a little lost on my 120 lb. Shepherd for which I order this item for.

Easy to apply. He doesn't even mind wearing it. It's like it isn't even there! I feel better knowing he is visible during hunting season.

I have not had a chance to use them yet, but they are well made and the design should make my dogs easily visible when in the woods with me.

Functions as intended, but shifts off to 1 side when dog is in motions or light brush. It also is hard to keep clean when work around hunting camp.

This is wonderful! Easy to get on and off and easy to spot them running thru the woods. Would definitely buy again and recommend to friends.

Love this lightweight, sturdy vest! There are plenty of adjustment options, and it stays in place, even in the most challenging cover. The reflective edges are also a nice touch. I liked this so much that I got 2 more for our non hunting dogs, so I could see them better when they run thru the woods.

The Mendota vests are the most durable safety vests I've found, whether in the Grouse woods of Northern WI or the prairies of the Dakotas

Product as described. Made good with very durable material. Strong. Dog wore it well. It doesn't slide around. Highly visible.

Good vest for added visibility without getting your dog hot.

I like that the vest is adjustable and does not attach to the collar. We sure feel better knowing that the dogs are easy to see in the woods, not only by us but other hunters. Thank you for the prompt service.

This is a great product. Had a different style, but kept falling off and finally lost it. This one stays in place and really visible. And the dog isn't bothered by it at all. GREAT STORE TOO. They ship their stuff fast. Thanks.
