NOTE: The manufacturer recommends new users unfamiliar with the recoil of these launchers to only use GREEN (light) or YELLOW (medium) loads.
The PAC Tec Launch Dummy Launcher combines the sound of the shot with the flight of the dummy. Varying distances can be attained easily by using different dummies and power loads.
PAC Tec-Launch Handheld Dummy Launcher Set includes the dummy launcher, one white canvas dummy, instructions and 100 light loads.
Handle constructed of lightweight Entec 1000 polymer that won't rust or fade
Built-in CNC machined 2024-t4 aluminum extractor
Nickel plated barrel
1 1/2" foam pad for a reduced recoil
Guaranteed by the manufacturer for 2 years against defects
Made in USA
NOTE: The Tec Launch should only be used with dogs which have already been satisfactorily conditioned to gunfire. Increased distance can be obtained by using the plastic dummies and by varying the angle of fire.
For safety purposes, we recommend that you handle the Tec Launch as you would a firearm.
NOTE: When training on water, make sure the launch tube in each dummy is dry before re-launching. If water is in the launch tube when the dummy is placed on the launcher, it can enter the firing port, drowning the load and causing a misfire. We recommend having multiple dummies available so the wet ones can dry between launches.
THIS IS NOT A TOY. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. USE CAUTION!
This product can cause injury if used improperly. It is not a firearm, but the same caution should be used. Hold launcher firmly, it has recoil. Never pull and release firing rod without a blank cartridge in the chamber. This will damage the chamber and make blank cartridge insertion and removal difficult.
Never point launcher at anyone or anything!
USE SAFETY GLASSES AND HEARING PROTECTION. A heavy recoil shock should be expected. Practice with lighter charges is recommended before going to medium loads.
Slide dummy completely on to steel nose piece. Lift up locking lever to open launcher and insert desired power blank cartridge into chamber. Close launcher and return locking lever to original closed position. Rotate launcher so slot in recoil pad is facing away from you. PLACE HEEL OF HAND AGAINST RECOIL PAD.
Do not place thumb against recoil pad as serious injury could result.
Grasp launcher firmly with one hand, making sure heel of hand is against recoil pad (wear a glove on the hand holding the launcher for added protection and comfort when firing).
Point launcher in the direction you wish to send the dummy (experimentation with different power charges and different angles of launcher aim will produce many varied ranges of dummy launch). Hold launcher away from body.
When ready to fire, pull back rod and release.
If blank cartridge does not fire or misfires: Remove blank cartridge and DO NOT reuse. Clean barrel with .22 cal. cleaning brush and gun solvent before using launcher again.
Open launcher and remove empty shell.
After each use, clean chamber with .22 cal. stainless steel cleaning brush. If this is not done, powder residue will build up and blank cartridge removal and insertion will become difficult. Use a drop of oil on the "O-Ring" to lubricate.
Do not use oil on the launcher body.
Wipe down launcher after each use to keep in good working order.
Keep metal tubes in dummies free from dirt, water, snow, etc. Dirty tubes can affect the launching range of the dummy. Cleaning of dummy tubes can be done with a 12 ga. cleaning brush. Do not leave dummy on launcher when not in use.
